+EuriLochus I used to dislike this band because I didn't understand the concepts in prog metal, but now I fucking love this. Like the concept of whole tone transitions into other riffs, creating a smooth transition, something less heavy, out of tune but that make us appreciate the next riff more.

I enjoy screams a lot, they are just way out of place with the mood of the song at the beginning. BTBAM tries too hard to sound different sometimes, and it ends up holding them back a bit IMHO.

+Caleb Willis BTBAM is like that. You know how you listen to a genre of music over and over, and after a while you can almost determine what notes and chords are played next? This band is the opposite. They are always a puzzle that is being built in front of me, and I never know which piece they are going to place next. Once it's finished I am mesmerized by what I just heard/ saw.

I hear what sounds like the influences of bands like Rush in this song. Like other commenters, I'm less enamoured of the guttural screaming style than traditional rock screaming singing but I can appreciate that Tommy is very good at what he does.

I took shrooms for the first time last night. I took 3.5 grams not realizing that’s a bit much for a first time. This music video is literally how I felt. I visited different realms and dimensions. I felt I was outside my body traveling to things outside the universe. And then the kicked in and I got lost in my head for what felt like days. My symptoms were a “bad trip” but it was enlightening. seen this band 3 times. Adelaide twice and Wellington. Their Wellington concert was the best even tho in Adelaide it was the Parallax 2 tour. Wellington was a very small venue. I saw Dustie assault a fan. Pushed him out the door after the show, was epic, and I shook his hand afterwards because the guy deserved it.

In my opinion, Between the Buried and me is the only band that has actually continued to get better as they produce albums. It really is amazing how consistent they are in refreshing their riffs and what not. I believe their versatility plays a huge part in this as well..
