Colors II and future sequence were my last favs, then the octahedron/jazz odyssey this was aided so so well by the art, easily best cover Not fav mix, takes the syncopated feel early that is so much lost finesse. Solo nice tho 🎉

the stereo separation is much better and the drums are way clearer. the high frequencies are also less harsh, at least to me. all in all much more comfortable to listen to, thank you guys so much for doing this. its my favorite album but least favorite production out of everything past the first album so this is huge for me. also, youtube's compression doesnt do it any favors. listen to it on spotify or get a high quality file.

This is definitely a more "refined" mix, the guitars are softer on the ear and better defined - but I miss the enormous snare drum. It used to explode through everything else - now it feels contained, almost tame. I love the beautiful consistency in the new kick, but the loss of the big, roomy pop of the snare drum is a difficult one to swallow.

Mostly what comes up from this remix is a sound that doesn't fill your ears and all the parts feel quite differentiated each other, almost like all the tracks are standing there all alone without really interacting with the other ones. It's an interesting sound, drums sound a little bit more clean. Bass takes the best advantage and the lead guitar is more present. Overall , I'm not crazy about this but it's interesting for analytical purposes.

It's sonically closer to Automata, at least to my ears. The guitar tones are crispy, the drums are really clear, and the bass pops out a lot more, but like you said, the instruments don't interact as well as they did in the original mix. The original definitely took more of a "wall of sound" approach, and I think that was a perfect sonic decision for this album. I'm glad I can hear the secondary and tertiary instruments more clearly now, and I love the new guitar tones they milked out of the original, but this mix doesn't hit as hard. Still sounds killer, and it's a lot better than the "remasters" other bands are pumping out.

The bass kick with in-ear headphones is euphoric. The melody of the chorus is almost God-like. These guys are so underrated it pisses me off NOBODY where I'm from or currently live even know who BTBAM are.

the original is fuzzy, washed out, and has an undesirable wall of sound effect occurring. this is crisp, discriminating, and clear. the bass and lead guitar particularly stand out as incredibly clean
