“It’s a pity no one laughed then.” I swear that’s got to be one of the funniest Star Trek lines since Data said “my timing is digital.” These characters are all very likeable. That’s what we want from Star Trek.

Intriguing story and very well played by the entire cast. It was a real pleasure watching this. The banter between shipmates really reminded me of the original series.
@Potemkin17115 жыл бұрын
Thanks! We think the banter is a critical part of the original series, especially Spock and McCoy. The banter between T'Noshi and the others is mean to evoke the same sort of spirit in our viewers.

The ending was fantastic and super tragic. I really think the Captain should've supported BA with whatever he decided and not been so harsh, but it was interesting to see a captain defer from the usual behavior. Excited to see what happens next with this crew.

I loved the interaction between T'Noshi and Dr. Anderson. I hope we will see more of that in the future. Glad this was made before the CBS guidelines. Seems the network is run by a bunch of off-Christmas Carol Scrooges. Someone should tell them that it is not a good idea to anger fans - we have too many other options!

Great story. Well done. Man...! That T'nosh's got a chip on her shoulder... almost as big as Dr. Anderson's! Approaching a tender moment though towards the end of the sick bay scene. Touching ending with the "young engineer"... Keep them coming...!

This may be your best episode to date (that I've seen, anyway!). The story is reminiscent of some of the best TOS ones (I'm thinking mainly of "This Side of Paradise") but updated and with it's own unique spin. For once (unlike similar tales from the TNG era), the colonists are not stick-in-the-mud luddites, they're just content with the hand they've been dealt.Their lives aren't in danger, so why should they move? The few colonists that want to depart are welcome to do so, too! No forced conflict or drama, just that which arises naturally out of the story. Very well done. Putting the captain in full uniform really helps to sell the concept that the other officers are just wearing "shirtsleeves" variants. One "monster maroon" is all it takes, and I hope you carry on this idea (and of course it makes perfect sense that it's the captain who's in full kit, since he is the CAPTAIN). Loved the TOS intercom in sickbay! This is an old ship, so it makes sense that there'd still be a few artefacts around from the old days. Now, if only you guys could find a non-TNG transporter sound effect, I'd be smiling all the way to the starbase...

Waouh, love T'Noshi's use of irony, she seems to beat captain Walker by knock out in that domain ! Vulcans usually dismiss humor with a doctrinal manner, but they still can beat you at it wen they chose to ! As a matter of fact as a human, i barely understand Walker heavy, gross humour and don't laugh at his jokes while I lol hard at T'Noshi's. Obviously T'Noshi only pretends to be curious about Anderson's cane and hides her abashment about having a half Vulcan who chose the Human ways over the Vulcan's, the opposite of Spock, in fact. Makes me think of a half-Vulcan McCoy somehow. She faces the consideration of the possibility of a non Vulcan love interest one day, perhaps... Another dilemma to solve for our dearest life-tortured Vulcan science officer !

that was a good story which star trek needs more of it is too bad that cropate hollywood had to be so selfish to basically any real long term story based star trek. i hope that cbs and paramount would make real star trek stories that are more star trek story based then most pop corn weak story.

@Potemkin17118 жыл бұрын
In an interview, John van Citters said the guidelines were not retroactive, and we've stayed within the guidelines in all productions filmed after their release. In fact, "The Chronicles of Lanclos" was the first fan film released after the guidelines were imposed. It completely satisfies the requirements.
