I love how the tribbles move across the desk throughout the video, very cute.

+eldergroan The mission will certainly be a bit different as well! But we love Dr. Skep Anderson and the rest of the crew!

Indeed.

On rewatching this after seeing all of the other Tristan episodes, I wonder what the in-universe backstory to the cane is. Given the 23rd century's level of medical technology, it occurs to me that Dr. Anderson's use of it is a choice rather than necessity. (I'm thinking similar to how Victor Von Doom's facial scars were revealed to be just one little scar to mar his otherwise "perfect" face.)

I wrote Skep like myself, a stroke survivor. I waddle when I walk. Without my cane I fall.

I was going to object to the level of emotion coming from a Vulcan (even a half Vulcan) but "George and Gracie" says everything. This is going to be a fun character.
@Dinuial9 жыл бұрын
***** Picked up some of that from the Burns and Allen tribbles. Someone raised on Vulcan isn't likely to have gotten such a reference, choosing it says he wasn't just steeped in human culture but is embracing it fully. Looking forward to seeing what you and the team do with this.

+Searcy1964 Bill, I gathered Skep was half half, or adopted, when I saw human brother and vulcan brother + the emotionalism! Very CAMP emotionalism! I am to assume the Doc is an emotional GAY Vulcan?
@DMSProduktions9 жыл бұрын
***** Ahh hahaha! GOT it! My gaydar never lies. I know a younger gentleman who is very similar to you in mannerism! Ok that's cool Bill, I enjoyed it. It's good to see a more humorous side of Trek!

I rather liked this episode -- Anderson is a hoot -- but it left me wondering if his brother was really playing a trick on him. Is Eli Marino really just another guy, or is he (in secret of course) really Sam Anderson's son?
@Potemkin17114 жыл бұрын
He's not Anderson's son, but there is more to him than meets the eyes

Nice premise. But does that mean that Potemkin is finished? And what is the timelaps between the two series if Starship Tristan is set in 2299?
@quoniam4269 жыл бұрын
But between the two series T'Noshi goes from Ensign to Lt Commander... surely she can't get promoted in mere days or months, it has to be a few years between the two series...

***** I look forward to it !

+Quo Niam Right now, I must say "Hang loose." We have seven Potemkin episodes in various stages of post-production, and we are releasing them in order. "Moving Day" takes place on Starship Tristan, and when it's all released, it will make complete sense. :)

I'm confused.... Soong's research destroyed years ago... so this is well after TNG, or at least concurrent. If so why the older uniforms and paper with glasses and ink pens? I love the Constellation-class ships, but they're phased out of front line exploration by 10 years before TNG, or around 2350... so the real question for me is, when is this story supposed to take place? 2330-2340?
@davideversole97679 жыл бұрын
+NightOwlModeler If I had to guess, I'd say the reference was to Arik Soong, the Augment guy from ENTERPRISE, not to Noonien Soong.
@NightOwlModeler9 жыл бұрын
Ohhhhh..... nice of them to specify :P
@Potemkin17119 жыл бұрын
+NightOwlModeler Considering the Dr. Frankenstein references, and the emphasis on the perfect young man, we had hoped folks would've determined this is a reference to the augments. This story is set in 2299. :)
