​​@@MichaelBeveraggi Isn't it interesting that they're are manifesting their way to the top since the very beginning? 😂 Like if you were a fan of theirs since earlier days, the journey was totally crazy, I wasn't a fan back then But I remembered if you were a fan of other group for example EXO or Black Pink, you'll be considered cool but if you're a fan of BTS you'll be looked down upon and mocked It doesn't even matter if you were just a random person in the internet, once you try to defend BTS from the cyber bullying and internet harassment You'd also get mobbed and get attacked So I pretty much adore the OG ARMY for actually standing up and defending BTS Besides BTS really weren't welcomed in the Kpop Industry, and majority of Kpop fans really hates BTS

20:49 for some reason the korean word or phrase for hanging out/spending time (with loved ones/friends/partners usually) gets translated to “play.” that word “play” is not a sentiment we use in the West in that context so idk why it always gets translated like that. it’s not a dirty term at all in korea and bts even use it frequently when talking abt spending time with ARMYs on lives, or when doing fan meets or concerts 😊

30:30 the lyric j-hope used here to finish his rap section is also a lyric in their song "satoori rap (paldogangsan)", so everybody knew how to finish the line. there's a pre-debut version of it with just the 3 rappers, and then an official version with all 7 members was released on their 2nd ep, o!rul8,2? that was released a couple of months after this album you reacted to - in september 2013.

Aww, wow, just when I'm currently restarting their discography! Circle Room Cypher used to be played out for me! It's just so cute and playful, but there's still some bars in there as always. I loved how they came out the gate swinging with their message and it hasn't changed much. Still pro self love, pro mental health, pro going for your dreams or not having a dream and so much more. I'm glad you got a chance to check this one out. 2 Cool 4 Skool is such a great debut just generally speaking but it's even better because every second of the album feels like theirs. It doesn't feel like some corporate team threw it together and handed it to them on a platter. Their DNA is all over the tracks. Their humor, their hopes and dreams, their chemistry with each other, their history and journey as trainees, their perspective of society and their peers. It's all just combined into this thing that feels like a time capsule. As if it stored a bunch of memories and feelings from the guys in the music and jokes. Even if new fans didn't get to see their trainee vlogs, new listeners get a feel of who they are as individuals despite the short project. It was my first BTS album that I listened to and it left such a huge impression on me. I grew up on hiphop so the intro alone had me hooked in and wanting to see more.

Nice reaction! That was Jimin Ad-libbing the high note and beautiful runs back tracking Jungkook and during the chorus . He was also doing some low register lines back then in their early days. Hope to see you react to their next album Dark And Wild, which has got fantastic B sides other than the iconic title track, the hip hop beats and RB mix for that album is just magnificent!

20:22 RM was an underground rapper since he was about 14/15, Suga too actually. RM went by the name Runch Randa and from what I read, he was pretty well-known in the Korean underground hiphop scene especially because he was so young and even rapped in English. Suga went by the name of Gloss and was also a producer. He was part of the underground hiphop group D-town (hence Agust D). Jhope actually only started learning how to rap after he became a trainee in 2010 (when they only had rappers), so it's pretty impressive how good he became in a short amount of time.

BTS has been always amazing since the beginning. Their entire discography is really good tho and they were already so talented, they just became better and better through the years which always blows my mind because HOW and I love so much their lyrics and messages and passion, you can tell they were special since debut. Like Bangtan had less money back then but they always gave their 100% with such good quality music and performances.💜

I am glad you went to the beginning of their career to understand BTS. Jungkook was a rapper first they realised early that he could rap and sing as well as dance that is why he is known as Golden Maknae. Suga explained early that most other rappers are just dancers that can't sing. This first album was what they thought they were gonna be a hip hop group. So you will hear V, Jimin, Jin do a bit of hip hop but mostly they do the chorus. The first skit is actually the first bits of the BU they are suppose to be in detention, so they are introducing themselves learning their dreams to each other. "No More Dream" was their debut song and it didn't have any ENG SUB because they never considered English speakers would be interested in their little group from a tiny agency. When the Korean Media wasn't interested in them they started taking their music to KZbin and initiated ENG SUBS after they realised people were subbing them.

what is translated as "play" from korean a lot like the line "let's meet up and play" has more of the same meaning as "hang out" and do something fun but in Korean the expression is play so it might sound strange when translated to english. Like even grown up friends you can see the translated that they meet up to play and BTS says that to us ARMY too and that doesn't mean what it sounds like when you say it in english, it's not as if you mean childrens games or something sus/dirty, it's just how you say when you mean "hang out" or meet up and do something, have fun together.

amazing reaction as always!! but I must say, i giggled a little when you said they probably exploded after that 🥹 they were a very small group at first, it was only in 2016/17 that they really went off in popularity (even though army was a strong fanbase since the beginning). I think it was already suggested before, but I really think you should react to the rise of bangtan, which is a documentary series made by army that showcases their journey since pre debut days. It gives context to their albums, and their trajetory. Really a good option if you want to dive in a bit more in them, not only by their albums.

Ahhh Suga vers was wrong translated in "We are Bulletproof", he said that ' some are lucky to be picked up be agency but you rap bc you can't sing it is such a waste to call you a rapper' of course I only say context not ideal translation but yeah it totally changes vibe what he wanted to tell. He didn't tell that he got picked bc it didn't happens he batteled his place and was hired as producer and then asked to be part of BTS. I don't like this lyrics video bc such a small mistake change meaning almost of all his verse... I saw it few times end ehh. It is really hard for me to fallow you with lyrics bc they are small but that it is not problem but video was very grainy for me, you were good but miniature I couldn't read some times.
