So many comments already so just a couple of extra points: 1) Don't confuse the roles they have in the group meaning that is all they do. For instance, the rappers don't just rap, they sing amd dance too. Each member of a KPop group is given a role that kind of specifies their speciality but in no way means they do not do all the other things too. 2) ARMY get excited to see new reactors to BTS and so suggest many, many things. This does not mean we expect you to do only BTS reactions or expect you to react to all the suggestions instantly! We try to be helpful and guide people to the things we remember being amazed by. With BTS though, that is practically everything they do 😂 Take your time and do what makes you happy. Supposed ARMY who are disrespectful of your choices are not true ARMY. If you want any guidance or have questions please ask. We can add links to the best versions of videos etc. So, if you are starting back at the very beginning i recommend watching their first few MVs on the channel 1theK as they have English subs - they are still the official MVs. Whereas the official MVs on HYBE Label channel does not. Looking forward to your journey. If you start seeing "I purple you" or "Borahae" in the comments please realise that this is ARMY showing you real respect. In the video it said but in case you did not quite realise. It is more than saying a throw away love you comment. It means we are thanking you, trusting you and respecting your reactions to BTS being genuine. The colour purple on Korean is Bora, and saraghae means i love you, merging them into Borahae is korean made-up word literally meaning I purple you.

Just to clarify a few things! 1) In Korea, your last name is often said before your first name! So “Kim Namjoon” is actually Namjoon Kim. 2) The average IQ is around the 90’s. RM’s iq is 148. For comparison, Albert Einstein’s was somewhere around 160. 3) Bts have many great songs but since you like rap, I would recommend Outro: tear (both lyrical video as well as the live performance) And ddaeng (lyric video and lyrical breakdown video) both of which are rap line songs that have super hard hitting lyrics and performances. 4) While all members have written and produced songs, RM, Suga and j hope (or the rap line) are the main writers and producers in bts. They also have producers and composers within their company that work on their tracks like pdogg, who has been at their company since the beginning. 5) Ok last thing, Suga has a talk show where he brings on different celebs to drink alcohol and have candid conversations. It’s called Suchwita! Suga has interviewed the members multiple times and, while the videos are long, I think they’re absolutely worth the watch. The best starting episode imo, because you’ve already reacted to jungkook, would be his episode, that being episode 15. (P.s Suga has said that the reason he created the show was to help the members promote their solo projects💜💜)

the average IQ is 100 because it is the reference point. If you are below 100 you are below average. If you are above 100, you are above average. As simple as that.
@karolaspener24784 ай бұрын
@@yassy02 actually it is not as simple as that, you are right that the average is around 100 BUT everything under and above is seen more much differently. So with an IQ of 70 you are diagnosed with a learning disability and with an IQ above 130 you are stated as highly gifted. Only 2 percent of the population have an IQ above 130 and of these 2 percent, 83 percent have an IQ between 130 and 140. RMˋs IQ is therefore in the range of the most gifted and more than exceptional. Please disregard any spelling and grammatical errors as English is my third language.

You commented a lot about their hair colors, so just thought it'd be interesting for you to know: in kpop, it's common for the idols to change their look every comeback/new song or album to match the new concept or vibe, or just to be something new for the fans to look at. So this is why you'll see them with varying hair colors and styles throughout multiple videos.

Helpful hint for the guide: Not sure if you know.... Korean people counted age differently to others... Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust. The members were only 13-18 years old when they became trainees and 15-20 yo when they debuted. In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on lunar newyear every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. .... Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 (Year and age became trainee) Jin 1992 - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo) Suga 1993- 20 yo (2011 - 17yo) Suga started with MIDI at 11 JHope 1994 - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo)JHope started dancing at 8 RM 1994 - 18 yo (2010 - 15yo) RM started rapping at 11 and was well known in the underground scene at 13 Jimin 1995 - 17 yo (2012 - 16yo) V 1995 - 17 yo (2011 - 15yo) JK 1997 - 15 yo (2011 - 13yo) JK signed with big hit at 13yo Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age. The Korean Government has recently (June28) brought in international age as the standard in Korea, but all older videos/ interviews/ shows, will be referencing Korean age. 💜Have a great day
@reneezemlock7880 Жыл бұрын
Jin has a 3 or 4 hour long live stream of himself gaming. :P When JK says he was 15 when he joined... that is based on the Korean aging system which can be 1 to 2 years older than the international aging system. So he was actually 13 years old when he moved to Seoul to join BTS and 15 when BTS debuted in 2013 (he was a trainee for about two years). A LARGE portion of their discography has something to do with mental health or self-love/confidence. But a few of MY favorites are "Zero 'o Clock", "Magic Shop", "Love Myself", "Cypher pt. 4", and "Not Today"... to name only a few. Their studio recordings are amazing, but they truly THRIVE on stage, so I highly suggest checking out a studio recording followed by a live performance. :) Enjoy the spiral down the purple rabbit hole. :)

5:32 Commenting as I watch. Yes, they really started on social media. BTS are the kings of social media. Run BTS is not a tv show, it’s their own live-streamed show. TV shows and variety shows, a large way S Korean idols build a fan base, either completely ignored them or mistreated them on the rare occasions they were invited. So they made their own show. They were mistreated and largely locked out of the industry which is controlled by the large labels, because they were from a small, broke company and because their were recognized as a threat to the other companies groups with their prodigious talent. The large companies control the whole entertainment industry, including contracts or agreements with networks, hosts, shows, venues, journalists, etc. and can exert tremendous pressure with their power. The word clearly went out early to crush BTS. They have taken a massive amount of abuse from the industry. It’s a whole saga. Their journey has been a hard fought one. 6:25 They have a *LOT* of mental health related messaging. Whole album series like The Love Yourself Series and The Map of the Soul Series, plus a lot of songs on other albums, as well as solo work. There is something about it, or a lot about it, on every album. There are 20 BTS albums and 11 solo albums from various members as they have been releasing solo work from the beginning, plus many collabs, singles, OSTs, covers and other releases like pre-debut songs and unofficial songs. Their discography is hundreds of songs deep and very diverse. Often bangers or fun sounding bops have much deeper or darker messaging like socio-economic, political, emotional, personal etc. 7:30 Yes, very much the original member. The group was built around him. 8:49 148 is genius level IQ. 10:36 They used to go live on vlive, a S Korean streaming platform. Now they use Weverse, the platform their company created for them. Weverse got so large because of them, it swallowed vlive, and now all the idols are on Weverse. 11:00 RM and his bicycle are a whole thing. He does not drive. He cycles all over. He even has a song called Bicycle. 14:00 All BTS members write and produce, but the three rappers do the most. Suga is a genius producer. They call him Midas in S Korea because everything he touches turns to gold. 15:56 They all lived together from 2010/2011 until mid 2022. They still live near each other. They also did their vacation specials. So there is lots of candid footage of them just hanging out, eating, doing hobbies, etc. 16:47 3 Rappers, 4 vocalists. 18:57 All the rappers can sing, some of the vocalists can rap, JK being the best rapper of the vocalists. 25:03 Lol, Jungkook does cook. He cooks and eats with us on livestreams and has posted recipes for us on Weverse. But Jin and Suga did the most cooking for their brothers. Jungkook just today, posted a food pic and serving suggestion. 26:24 Yes, lol, Jin does livestreams where he just games. 29:01 Hyung means big brother. JK is the youngest. 30:00 All of them release free music for ARMY. Five of the solo albums, the rapper mixtapes, were free releases. They aLao all do singles releases and subunit releases (different groupings of members on a song.) Golden Closet Films can be found on Weverse and KZbin. 33:09 None of the guys go by their “last name.” In most of Asia the convention is to write the surname/last name first, and the given name/first name last. RMs “first name” is Namjoon, family surname Kim, a common surname in S Korea that several BTS members share. Jungkook’s first name is Jungkook. V’s first name is Taehyung. Etc. 35:10 Yes, they are already in the Guinness World Records Hall of Fame.

Enjoyed your reaction to our amazing guys. BTS is not like any other group and you realize this as you get to know more about them. They are not just members, they are a family, they are brothers. They lived together for almost 10 years, it was in 2020/2021 when they each got their own place. I personally think this helped them connect even deeper since many groups stop living together after their debut. BTS writes most of their music which has topics that connects to their fans because its about real stuff. Their first name is actually what we would say is their last name. Also don't use their hair to determine who is who. They change hair color so much you will go crazy. RM does write music in both Korean and English. If you want to get to know more about them, you should watch their Bon Voyage (vacation trips with budget) episodes (JK is an amazing cook as well as Suga and Jin), their In the Soop (staycation) is also good to watch. Their show Run BTS is a must, you will be laughing a lot. They also have their Bangtan Bomb videos which gives you behind the scenes of their videos and other events. They also have movies which takes you into a deeper look of their concerts and everything they do for their fans. JK is the youngest of the group. He was actually 13 years old when he joined. Korea used a different age system up until this year so they always add 1-2 years to their actual age. So JK was raised by his older brothers and he is literally the manifestation of them. Hyungs means brothers. I would suggest you watch these other videos as well to help you understand more about them as a group and why Army is so protective of them. There were others that were training to be in BTS but they didn't end up staying for various reasons.... the final seven were the best suited together and were the ones with the drive and determination to make it to debut. She really did a good job but now in 2023 it's far from being recent and updated! I think that it is important to let you know that BTS are like Aliens to the western AND K-Pop industry. Believe it or not but they don't even have the suppotz of the k-Kop industry. And I just want to point out that she forgot to mention that RM's 148 IQ is genius level but Jimin and Jungkook both have an IQ of 128 which is pretty high too. She said that Jungkook is good in everything but she forgot to say that Jin also is good in almost every sports, he also can play the piano and guitar! The other members startet to learn some instruments too. RM is the only one fluent in English but now in 2023 the other members learned it pretty well. It can not really be updated because with BTS you basically can't have an updated version for a long time. If you want an accurate update of BTS you would have to add another 5 Minutes every other week because they are working so much that they achieve something new every other week. For example as of May till now, they again released multiple solo albums, other projects, had solo concerts/performances, won many awards, are brand ambassedors and broke records. And if you want detailed videos about each member it would have been a 2 hours video for every single one (probally longer LOL) There is an introduction to Jimin a 2023 version that is almost 2 hours long , if you want to check it out! kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYDZl6Okgd93e9ksi=2bapQ_gim6i2_bCq __ sadly awards and first places are stolen from them. I urge you to watch the information videos by Boracity Magazine: BTS vs radio BTS vs Spotify BTS vs attendance award shows BTS vs boybands coming back Why the music industry is terrified of bts why the boyband "hiatus" doesn't apply to bts Why most Armys don't like Kpop "the next bts:" why they fail every time. bts paved the way, why is it so hard to accept it? I am also so terrified of spiders 😂 just FYI don’t be afraid to pause to give commentary. We definitely prefer that and are not afraid of long videos. We prefer it over talking through things so you don’t miss anything important (like V’s super impressive high note in Stigma that you may have missed in this video, for example). I would recommend being mindful of when you pause (like not in the middle of an impressive dance break or vocal run, for example) and maybe rewinding a couple seconds so you don’t miss anything. 💜

You're gravely mistaken, common misconception is that people assume they were popular from the start. So them being in school while being in BTS was not a big deal. They were often mocked for being in the group actually, since they were very different from other idol groups, first they are not part of the Big 3 companies who dominate the industry. No idol group outside of the Big 3 has ever became successful not until BTS came. Second, they were considered an ugly group. Only one of them met the Korean beauty standard. So they were mocked as idols. And the rapper scene hated them as well for being idols. Third, there were a lot of groups that the public and the industry favored. They hated BTS for outshining those groups with the help of their international fans. Third, their songs are very rebellious. They questioned status quo, they bashed harsh education system, they questioned societal pressure, and forced dreams, they talked about capitalism, consumerism, they tackled injustice and politics, they were a ballsy group, casually singing politically critical song live on television, even direct quoting from politician when their country was blacklisting artists that are against them. No idol groups could do that, first of all most groups don't have the control to write or choose their songs, their company would just give them songs. Even if the other groups could write their songs, their company would never allow their idols to be controversial especially since those companies are supported by the corrupt politicians so there's no way they could go against it. They weren't supposed to be popular, but they did, that's why they received a lot of hate, especially in their country. Fun fact, not even till this day are they acknowledged by their industry. That's why they got internationally, because they're not appreciated in their home country and their international fans saw that, and expanded themselves as much as possible and helped them from the outside. That's why they won awards in Korea, their fans helped them break the western industry instead.

FYI, they've sold out not only arenas but stadiums across the globe including, Sofi Stadium, Allegiant Stadium, Rose Bowl even the legendary Wembley Stadium in England. BTS can sell out stadium with 50 to 90 thousand seating capacities in less than an hour. Getting a BTS concert ticket is like hunger games. No exaggeration. Those 700 awards were only as of March 2022. As of the present they already got over 900 awards as a group with 36 Guinness World Record. I'm not even gonna talk about the individual awards. They were also the only artists who got 3 number 1 albums in less than a year since the Beatles. BTS used to go live on VLive, a Korean app but now they do live on Weverse, a social media app developed by their own company. RM is the only one fluent in English and he taught himself English by watching the American sitcom FRIENDS.

Good reaction, I’m glad you seem very open-minded and enjoy the video. If you like rap songs that have a bit more serious topic, here’s some of my fav from the 3 rappers: - Strange (Suga + RM) - Ugh (RM + Suga + Jhope) - Polar Night + The Last (Suga) - Moon Child + Do You (RM) - Arson, Safety Zone (Jhope) I’m biased towards to the rappers so I have quite an understanding to their catalogue. But if you also want vocal focus/group songs that focus on mental health, some of my fav are: - House Of Cards - Whalien 52 - Young Forever - Film Out, - Butterfly A lot of these are worth checking live performances also, since they are quite amazing live performers. Do search for videos that provide english sub if you want to check out the lyrics though (only official MVs on their channel are provided with eng sub, and even then some of the really old ones might not have sub). All of them have also released solo albums, and I think each album is very good representation of their music taste and talent. So you can check those solo albums out if you want to have an understanding of each of their style. Have fun and hope you enjoy the journey 💜

41:15 I'd recommend you to watch their "boy meets evil mama 2016" performance. boy meets evil is a really cool J-hope's song, but for mama 2016 he and Jimin did a dance collab, mixing in a part of Jimin's song Lie. So, Jimin did that whole performance blindfolded. (also, if you're interested in mental health songs, I would recommend you to listen to Lie as well, it has a really cool instrumental and is often interpreted as a song about loosing yourself in a lie of a "persona" which is not right for you. His solo album Face is about his mental state during pandemic too. I really love the themes of escapism in Like Crazy. AgustD's songs also quite often revolve about interesting psychological concepts, like, I really like his commentary on "love" (not necessarily romantic love, just love) in his songs people, people pt 2 and sdl. though his last album also has a lot of social commentary. if you like more aggressive sound, then agustd, give it to me, tony montana, what do you think, d-day, haegum from his solo stuff may be for you. j-hope's more, arson, stop, what if... are really cool too. RM is generally making more mellow music, but his songs are always full of great lyrics, interesting concepts and great instrumentals. bts's cyphers are a really great introduction to the rap line too🤭 and I really encourage you to research about the meaning of the songs, cuz sometimes really great things are hidden behind uncommon metaphors and things specific to Korean culture. it's not required, but I'm sure you won't regret doing this.

I prefer when people go in order from the beginning and do full album listens as BTS has said many times that their albums are created to be listened to in order from top to bottom. Thank you for finding them. Among ARMY, there is a saying that BTS finds you when you need them the most in your life. :) They all have different personalities and different talents, and they seem to combine like cogwheels to create the best balance and synergy. :) I guess you already know, the reason why this introduction video is until 2022 is that BTS members are about to join the military. After releasing a collaboration single with Coldplay, Jin, the oldest member, already enlisted about 10 months ago and is serving under Korean law. And J-Hope joined the military about 6 months ago after releasing his solo album Jack In The Box and collaborating with J.Cole. Suga released his solo album, D-Day, and he recently sold out all of his world tours and ended successfully, and he joined the army, September 22. Other four BTS members will also serve in the military and will be reunited in 2025. So they are briefly stopping their eight-year group works and focusing on their solo work. :) They promised ARMY that each of them will grow further through solo projects and come back together in 2025 after completing their military service. As you know, Jungkook is actively working as a soloist now. ;) Can I recommend some songs that I was comforted by them? I'd like to introduce the story of the iconic trilogy that led them to a speech to the United Nations General Assembly. DNA: Joy of fateful love → Fake Love: Realizing that love was a lie → IDOL, The Truth Untold, Epiphany, Answer Love Myself: To love other people completely, you should love yourself first. These are included in Love Yourself Trilogy. Oh, RM's speech at the UN cannot be missed. He was only 24 years old at the time! Dynamite, Butter, Permission to Dance, these three songs were released in English to give positive energy to people around the world during the pandemic caused by Covid-19. :) Most of their songs are in Korean, and their music video provides subtitles in several languages, including English. And I highly recommend the music video and live performance of Spring Day, Mic Drop. These two songs are totally different from each other, and you can feel the diversity of their music. The lyrics of BTS' songs are based on their own experiences, and their albums are organic because they contain their growth narrative. It'll also be fun to listen to their albums in order and analyze them. :) If you're curious about their personalities, I recommend their variety show, Run BTS. (There is also their song, live performance, and dance practice with the same title as this.) There is a considerable gap between them on stage and usual. They are actually very cute and funny. 🤣 Oh, I recommend Suchwita(meaning time to get drunk with Suga), too. Suchwita is a talk show created by Suga to promote the members' solo albums. Now, it's much larger than his initial intention, so he invited a variety of guests other than the members, though. 🤣 Episodes in which the members appeared are ep.1, 7, 9, 12, 14, 15, 18 and 21. :) You can hear the behind-the-scenes stories of the members' solo work in these videos. And I highly recommend BTS HARDSHIPS 2013-2021 by xCeleste. This video shows why BTS and ARMY have a strong bond and why ARMY is so protective of BTS. Sorry for this long comment. But I hope you enjoy this journey. :)

32:54 jungkook is a human cheat code… what he’s capable of has only grown and grown and he’s really shining in his solo era. Each of these dudes is insanely talented but they’re even better ppl. K-pop idols are very affectionate w each other and brothers like them are always loving and taking care of one another. They’ve got a brotherhood where they’d take a bullet for each other. It’s something most agro dudes I see react kind of unsure of at first bc many cultures men have this need to appear “tough or masculine “ no show of emotion and all of that… but each of them watching them break down and wish for friends they could just be that open with and share the kind of friendship that these guys do… it’s a beautiful thing

Selling out stadiums, not arenas, stadiums are bigger. Jungkook was actually only 13 when he moved to the dorm in Seoul to be a trsinee, and just 15 when they debuted. He is a good cook by the way and often cooked in front of ARMY on weverse, vlive. Hyoung is the Korean word for an older brother, maknae is younger one. Since may 2022 the awards have continued to pile up, over 1000 now.

Don't make my mistake and try to recognize the guys by hairstyles. They change them every 10 min. LOL> 3 rappers, 4 vocals, but they can all sing. Hyung is like most respected big brother. The red heart was for Jin's birthday!

Namjoon's accent is very good! In fact he sounds more British if he's talking to English interviewers. The little finger gesture is just a heart, and hyung means older brother - or a close male friend, but only if you're male. Jungkook is the maknae, which is a unisex term meaning 'youngest', so all of the others are his hyungs.
