Hey Keith, I haven’t seen this in forever probably since it came out on DVD I almost can’t remember it other than amusement park and inspector todd is killed off. I would’ve bet $100 when you were talking about transfer quality that it was gonna look van tastic. Just about almost never fails when there’s multiple movies in a franchise the worst movie always looks the best.🙂 And I just picked up the wire complete box set blu-ray . Don’t know if you’ve ever seen it (HBO series)absolutely incredible picture quality. widely considered one of the best television shows ever and I would agree with that. If you haven’t seen it something you should definitely look into and if you have, then you know what I mean. Have a great one as always.

Hey John. The amount of times I have seen that happen when it comes to 4k. For instance just look at the Superman collection. The fourth one is quite comfortably the worst when it comes to the movies but it is hands down the best looking in the collection. I'm not sure why I'm so surprised to see Beverly Hills Cop 3 get this kind of treatment. But never in a million years did I think it would ever look this good. I have heard of the TV show The Wire but I never got around to watching it. I need to check my collection because something's telling me I might have a couple of Seasons that I picked up on the cheap. I've heard nothing but great things about the show. I would love to see/ hear your reviews on some of thr kino Lorber titles Keith, I've been taking a break from my usual Steelbooks buying and have been picking up quite a few Lorber titles, kindergarten cop, the quick and the dead, face off, red dragon. Silence of the lambs, the Italian job (original) the usual suspects.. all of these look outstanding on 4k with Dolby Vision! 😁

Honestly Ethan I would love to get my hands on them but to import them it costs a lot of money. There is so many titles that I would love to get my hands. Most of the ones you mentioned I would love to have. Hopefully someday I can find a way of getting them on the cheap. I've heard nothing but great things when it comes to Kino Lorber. I've actually got five movies from them but they were given to me as gifts. I was very impressed with all of them

We used to watch this with Matthew as the language wasn't as harsh (he was only young 🤣) liked the fairground setting as well 👍 shocking that there's no special features on Keith 😲 funnily enough I remember thinking the picture quality was really nice on the dvd so glad to see that the 4k is nice 🤩🤩 great review Keith 😁😁👍👍

Yeah it's really toned down in this movie and it's probably why so many people hate it. I took it for what it is which is a decent comedy. This is one to definitely pick up John in the future because I know you're going to be blown away by its picture quality. I never seen it look as good as this. Yeah I know there's not much of a fan base out there for the third one. I still enjoyed it but if they ignored the events of this movie in the fourth one it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Very excited to check it out myself

Hi Keith, You are correct Paramount that are all over the place with their releases at times, slipcovers or not, but i"m sure there"s a few guys in the community or on ebay that would design a slipcover for "Beverly Hills Cop 2 as i need one myself. All three Beverly Hills Cop movies i"d watched at my local cinema & i wished the fourth movie was going to be on the big screen, but i guess we should be grateful that a fourth movie is being made & we get to see it on Netflix, just hope there"s physical media release 🙏. The first two movies are far better, but i do enjoy the third movie & the Wonder world scenes was a interesting & fun setting for a cop action movie, good to hear its gets your approval & i need to get this one & binge watch them before the fourth movie comes out. Great stuff Keith.

My only concern Carlos when it comes to the fourth movie is I've never actually seen a great movie on Netflix. I actually call it the a****** of Hollywood. It's where all the s*** goes. But I am hoping and praying that we get a sequel that is not only fantastic but incredibly faithful to the trilogy. Hopefully we will know soon enough. As for the third one I honestly cannot recommend it enough on 4K Carlos. It was like I was watching it for the first time again. Never thought the movie could look as good as it does on this release. Not a fan of III, at all, Keith. But I'm glad you have a soft spot for it. I think it was the humor. I love Landis, but his style of comedy is different than what had already been established with the original Beverly Hills Cop and Part II. Having said that, I'm looking forward to IV when it hits Netflix this summer. I hope it gets the tone right.

Hey bill. It's never going to be a great movie and to be honest if they ignored the events of this movie in the fourth it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. There is so many things going for the fourth one at the moment. To see Jerry Bruckheimer come back is a huge plus and of course a lot of the cast is back as well. All we can do is wait and see.

Normally I would tell you the wait until the 4th one comes out but as you know it's going to Netflix so it's never going to get a physical release. Wow another two boxes. It's a solid trilogy in terms of its 4K transfers. Amazingly enough the third one is the best of the three in terms of picture quality. Definitely worth picking up Marty. I think there's a trilogy box set you can get. Thank you so much for stopping by

I'm shocked there's no special features Keith, that's lazy. I'm glad the transfer is good. It's a good film but like you said Keith, it's the weekest of the three. I am really looking forward to the 4th installment, I hope it delivers and at least we get John Taggart back, he is my favorite character especially the first one. How he hated Alex in the beginning nd then ends up respecting so much, there chemistry was so special.

Taggart was massively missed in this movie. Maybe he read the script and said I don't want any part of this. There's no question about it it's a weak entry. As a matter of fact if they went on to ignore this one in the latest Beverly Hills it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. I have high expectations and I really hope it lives up to them. On the back of the slipcover they’ve included a Dolby Audio logo (next to the Dolby Vision logo) despite this release having a DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio track. 🤔

I honestly don't know why they keep doing that. I've seen it on numerous titles. I need to check it but maybe there might be a Dolby Digital option in the audio and that's why it's there.

Wow, Paramount have really cut their own throats with this one. No Blu Ray (which is a bit of a clincher for me) or features? I appreciate that it looks great (not a shock given the amount of external daylight scenes and the high end film stock budget), but that was never going to be enough for this. You’d think Landis would do all he could for this, given the fact that he shouldn’t have had a career after 1983.

Paramount can't seem to make up their minds when it comes to weather they want to put in Blu-rays or not. I knew going into this release that there was no chance we were ever going to get special features. They do it with so many of their releases. Thankfully it looks phenomenal and let's face it the main reason to why you want to buy this. I just wish paramount would go the extra mile and give us a little bit more

Just saying that the picture quality from the Second Sight release on standard blu ray, that I own, was of excellent quality- so there's source material out there that has been upgrade significantly. I would think that bodes well for your purchase- good luck!
