I think Eddie should be a little more forgiving towards Beverly Hills Cop III. I just rewatched it last night and it’s still a pretty solid action movie and tbh it’s the only one in the franchise where Axel actually felt like an action hero to me. The scene where he saves the kids that are about to fall out of the spider ride is still a great set-piece. Personally, I think III still has the most action out of all of them. The only element missing was Taggart but I wasn’t really missing him tbh.
@ecklectic99774 ай бұрын
It missed the presence of Taggart for me but I actually liked III as well. It also has probably the best opening sequence of all of the movies in the series.

They missed the tone of the original. The emotional outburst between his daughter and him pushed it closer to a soap opera than a comedy/action film. The light-heartedness was gone and even when he was getting close to the old character (like the hotel scene) he just gave in and said "I'm too tired, can I get a room?". Not to mention the other characters were crowding the screen time. Better than number 3 though.

Good premise, but I didn't laugh once. Eddie showed great range as an older Axel, but the daddy issues dragged the movie down. Axel's daughter was the most unlikeable character in the entire series. Would have been funnier if the original cast had bigger roles. The Relationships made the first 2 films MAGIC.
