Agreed! The irony here, with her being in it, and in Cobra, as Beverly Hills Cop was originally going to have Stallone in it. With him in the cast it would have been a different movie entirely. As I understood it, Stallone re-wrote a lot of the script, and knowing how Sly likes action in his movies, it was no longer in the production budget. So they went a different direction and casted Eddie Murphy, and Stallone got to do his version of it as Cobra.

This is brilliant (and further proof Tony was the more talented Scott brother.) What's great about this scene isn't just how it establishes what an intimidating and well-oiled machine Brigitte Nielsen's crew are, but we haven't even gotten into her almost killing Bogomil yet and her "only" being the lover of the real bad guy. The stakes haven't been established and yet, just like in The Dark Knight, we as the audience already know the hero(es) are up against someone way more intimidating than the previous antagonist and someone who does NOT fuck around.

Thank you, Tony Scott Rules. - Randy (Scream II). One of the better opening scenes I've seen. Wish more movies started this way. Takes you RIGHT into the action. Show don't tell.

Saw this in the theater first weekend it was out. They had the sound cranked WAY up and it bounced off the walls.
Not quite as energetic as the first one but had it's moments (the 'stop working' and 'party's over, Max fucked it up for everybody' scenes are priceless).
