For movies, yes. Alan Silvestri as well. For television though, Sylvester Levay, Udi Harpaz, Walter Murphy and Jan Hammer. They were great composers for that medium. Would’ve been incredible for all 6 to work together on something.

2 has a completely different feel than 1 as does 3. Each one has its own tone. 1 is more comedic but definitely 100% 80s action. 2 is grittier, darker, where 3 seems like it wanted to go back to 80s action only to come off as trite and uninspiring. In the grand scheme I prefer 1. It's definitely the tone I think works as a whole. 2 seemed as if it was a different movie but wrote into the Beverly Hills Cop universe.

I think Harold honestly wanted to give a shout out by doing that. By the time these two movies came out the country was starting to realize the Reagan era was all a smoke screen and criminals were now getting more creative hence the whole elaborate schemes both villains used to profit and get rich.
