I had a 2018 tacoma with a multitude of electrical problems. Navigation locking up and not working, radio issues, cruise control issues, and the worst was the coil malfunctions. I honestly believe all car manufacturers are buying their electrical components from the same supplier because they're all having similar problems. I sold it back to the dealership last may and i do not regret it at all. I have a 17 year old trailblazer that is flawless and i will keep it forever. I'm done buying new cars from ethically challenged dealerships.

I leased a new 2021 Ford Bronco about 14 months ago. I get an average of 28 mpg on it. The only issue I experienced was about 4 months ago, the display screen didn't boot up, so, I could not the image when I backed out of my garage. I scheduled an appointment to have it diagnosed, nut couldn't get in until two weeks later. While I was waiting to get it looked at, one morning, the screen came to life and there has been no problem since then. I took a 3000 mile trip to Ely Nevada by way of Denver and Colorado Springs. On the return trip, I experienced an mpg of 30 on I 80 near Evanston WY at 80 mph. --+ Its legal in Wyoming

@@BevinsBuilds a little 4 Cyl in that big truck, I have no idea what Ford was thinking. A High revving, turbocharged 4 cylinder motor that belongs in a compact sports car in a giant SUV ? They did the same with the Jeep Wrangler and put a 2.0L 4 cylinder as an “upgrade” for the naturally aspirated 3.6L PentaStar V6, and realized they were being avoided, and quickly removed that “upgrade” cost.

@@TheSchmed The turbochargers can spin at up to 150, 000 rpm. That's why, even though they push that air and fuel in those cylinders, under high pressure, they will not last. Hey, it's mechanical and running at super high rpm. FROM AN ARTICLE I JUST READ: "Jun 8, 2018 - The turbine in the turbocharger spins at speeds of up to 150,000 rotations per minute (rpm) -- that's about 30 times faster than most car engines can go" A Jet aircraft's N2 (aft) compressor spins at around 14,000 rpm at take off - 100% to 104%. Those parts are moving - but they can't hold a candle to a car's turbo at approximately 150,00rpm, when "you get on it" to get into traffic.

Any updates? Believe it or not, my son-in-law had a myriad of electrical issues that came down to the battery. Yes, a freagggin battery had the lights flashing, radio surging, wipers doing weird things, and multiple warning lights come on at once and disappearing for days. They put the new battery in everything went away. 4 weeks later, the 2.7 engine blew with the dreaded valve seat issue. He loved that First Edition but it had to go. Ford bought it back.

In 1968 GM introduced the C3 Corvette, over the course of that model year people in cold climate states discovered that the door locks would freeze shut. The next model year GM fixed the problem, but that is why you never EVER buy the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd model year until bugs are taken out. New Bronco to me is just an ego/status boost as far as I am concerned for a lot of people.

Yep. There is going to be problems our 2021 bronco that we picked up Dec.23 and then parked with a 177 miles on it because we are not planning on driving it during the winter months. Went to move it in the shop which is heated (parked for about 2 weeks) and it was dead but not completely it would not start but the headlights and some of the radio lights and a couple of the window control lights would come on and stayed on and you could not shut them off without disconnecting the battery. I checked everything you could think of and everything the dealership told me to check and no go. Its currently at the dealership where it was towed, and they said it was not going to be an easy fix. As a Ford dealer principal and hopefully my comments won't be deleted because Ford spends a lot of money doing that, it is not uncommon to throw parts at a car in my experience even though there's an obvious issue you can scan the vehicle it may have a dozen fault codes three to five of them Ford says disregard because they don't even know why they appear. This is the kind of vehicles they've been putting on the market for the last 10 years. And all we can say is stay away

Ford's are a headache, the dealership does repair 24/6 and the techs keep in constant contact.

I was nowhere near that much but aren't all cars a piece of junk when you have an issue :)

Of the three texts of my dealership that handle drivability and electrical concerns every one of them makes six figures. And it is not uncommon for them to have multiple codes that will never clear that Ford doesn't even know why exist. So they end up just changing parts and when the Ford tech line is contacted they want us to tell them how we fixed it. It's a sad state .. but knowledge is power. Tell all your friends the issues you're having and maybe they'll stop running like sheep to pay $20,000 over sticker for this small underpowered inefficient bag of worms

My advice, trade it in for a new Chevy truck. Fords seem to have alot of electric issues not just bronco

Yep, GM has electrical down, see Bolt. Good luck with the Bronco, most may have some issues on new models but how's it resolved
