Here's a little guide to 'Beware! Beware!' my new DCS Spitfire IX campaign, where I explain a bit about the maps, kneeboards and documentation that comes with it. I hope you'll find it helpful.

How you approach your campaigns are exactly what all sim pilots should aspire to ! A sense of what it was like and the challenges that these pilots faced combined with a history lesson ! The attention to detail and your hard is amazing .Thankyou for your dedication to your work !

I'm only 7 sorties into this campaign, and WOW! Very impressed! I'm a big fan of how detailed and immersive they are. Flying in formation, keeping close tabs on feul consumption, and getting your bearings after interactions with enemy... GREAT CAMPAIGN!! Thanks for putting in the time and effort producing it. Great job!!

DCS would be half the game it is without Reflected... I live for this stuff. I want to fly for an hour managing mundane tasks. I want to be surprised when the actions starts, and I want to be worried about ammo and fuel. I want the immersion that all that nuance provides and nobody does it better. Baltic is pretty awesome too.

Thanks for not forcing us the take down every enemy and not get any damage to success at the missions. That’s something that really puts me off in other peoples campaigns. I love the museum relic one but there have been times where I succeed at the mission but with damage to my aircraft and the mission status was draw or failed. I had to manually edit my logbook I love campaigns to learn the aircraft as I go and have fun.

I was not that interested in Spitfires for some reason. I admired and appreciated them for their fame and historical value, but I did not really plan to buy the module. But... :D I see how much effort you put into this campaign to achieve the most realistic simulation possible, so I thought "okay... I need to learn this bird now and give this campaign a go!" I think this will be the perfect way to spend my time until the V for victory campaign comes out. Ohh man I like DCS :D what a time to be alive for simulator fanatics

@@ReflectedSimulations Hey just a follow up to my last comment and early initial impressions: I purchased both the Spitfire and the Beware! Beware! campaign. I'm only at the second mission. It looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun! :D I was surprised about how good and authentic the radio messages are. First I thought that the voices sound a little strange, but I watched the video on YT about the RAF and Lancaster real WWII radio communications you referred to in your campaign preview video and WOW! So similar! Great job on that! I also really like how you populate the airfields. There is always something going on, and it feels very real. In the first intro mission, I was literally just sitting in the plane for minutes with my headphone on on max sound level and watch the warbirds flying by and the airfield. I've got goosebumps :D Since I just purchased the Spitfire I spent a few hours with it, I still need to learn how to control the bird properly and keep up with AI and master my take-offs and landings, but after I watched the tutorial videos on your channel I can say that it really is not a problem. You can keep up with them and follow them just fine ( I just lack the proper experience because I'm a newbie). I've tried to figure out the power setting of the AI while cruising. It feels like they are changing the manifold pressure all the time :D But I know that I just need to work on my formation flying skills and I also know that they fly a little strange since you explained that in the campaign preview video. Maybe ED just wanted to make AI formation flying more exciting and eventful by letting the AI under control the planes :D What I don't know why is happening is when I start the mission and warm up the plane, start taxiing after the leader, I line up and wait until I'm clear to take off, but what I found is that after I take off, the rest of the planes on the ground just stop before the runway and stay there and don't move. When I circle the airfield I can see the long ass chain of planes "holding short" on the taxiway and non of them are taking off. Since I'm still in the phase of learning the general handling, I started the mission over a few times. I tried different ways of taxiing, going first or going last, but it seems like a consistent problem. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or its just the DCS and the strange AI behaviour...idk. I would say that it does not affect the rest of the mission, because when the time hits 40, we all start towards the channel and when I count the planes in the formation I think all of them are there for some reason (hopefully). It is just a little immersion breaking to see 20 warbirds holding short on the taxiway with no reason. If I did something wrong, I hope you will let me know what did I do wrong. If not, maybe I'm going to report back on the subject after I see if this very minor inconvenience still happens in the later missions. I just purchased a MFG crosswind rudder pedals with the hydraulic damper mod just to fly the Mosquito and the Spitfire.(well and of course the planes in MSFS) It just arrived a few days ago and I must say that it over exceeded my expectations. I can highly recommend them if someone wats to pursue the most realistic experience. I've had the plastic Thrustmaster pedals before and the difference is night and day. It is so much easier to control these birds if you have a precise rudder, especially during take-offs and landings and taxi. Now the full setup is done, I'm going to spend a few more hours with the Spit with Track IR, and my project for this weekend (since the wife and the little son will be gone for a week :D) I'm going to try the Beware! Beware! campaign with the Reverb G2 VR headset. I can't wait for it! :D Anyway, sorry for the long comment. The work you have done is amazing and every warbird fun should try it! If I had the time and the skills already, I would seriously consider to make a walkthrough(flytrough) video series of the campaign. Thank you, Reflected! U.i: A VR session, a sör és a sétarepülés Budapest körül még mindig áll, ha esetleg a környéken leszel valamikor!!! :D

@@Ravasssz hey, thanks so much for the feedback! The AI hold short issue is a DCS bug that I reported back in September. Looks like it's still happening. BTW they will takeoff after 5-6 minutes, so it doesn't affect the missions, it's just an immersion breaker. If you could record a track and post it on the forums under the general "AI bugs and problems" thread, that'd be great. Also, please tag me so I can follow up with ED. It's funny you mentioned the radio messages, the Lancaster recording is exactly what I used as basis, and tried to reproduce that with the effects. I'm happy I succeeded :) For cruising I get by with 2650 RPM and 6-7 boost, sometimes I lower it to 2400 / +2 to conserve fuel Enjoy the rest of the missions! PS: épp Budapesten vagyok, hazajöttem látogatóba a nyárra, repülésben bármikor benne vagyok :) És köszönöm!

Sortie 1 kicked my butt but only because I got hit by a massive lag when Luftwaffe showed up and started shooting. 5 frames into merge I got shot into a Swiss cheese. I got wounded, my engine went into uncontrollable overdrive until it died but the plane remained perfectly functional, so I managed a respectably smooth landing on a wheat field. On the way down I almost got sights on the Jerry that had nailed me. Gonna have to lower graphical settings for the first time ever and go and try again.

No I can’t. I’d need to redo it from scratch just because some people don’t want to buy the channel map - which is every bit as good as the normandy map btw. Plus normandy doesn’t have winter textures and half the campaign is set in the winter. So yeah, no. Sorry.
