I understand what you're saying. Granted, children are more susceptible to a manipulation of beliefs, but in the context of the woman's statement, there's an insinuation that she's referring to the popularly held belief that children can't draw a line between what is presented in fiction, and what is presented in reality, and that as a result of this supposed premature judgment, creative mediums such as films, cartoons, television shows, stories and video games are to be held accountable for unfortunate incidents and immoral acts.

Creepypastas in general may not drive majority to commit some type of crime, but I'm trying to say that "what if it gets in the wrong hands". These girls obviously became intrigued in the nature and background of this made-up folklore, and I'm sure that they've heard of many others as well. What I'm trying to say here is that the creator or story is not the full one to blame, yet the nature of the reader and the influence it had on them. I'm just saying that what if someone else felt this way related to another story or such, and made action to it. I don't excuse this behavior at all, and I wish it never happened, but one story cannot be placed with the full blame, I'm sure that Parsec didn't intend for this either.
