KnightLance puts up a pretty good fight! I guess Takara Tomy wasn't lying about its counter-attack abilities hahaha. It kind of sucks that defense and stamina types have to put in so much effort to earn 1 point most of the time...attack types and more aggressive Beys can close the gap in point much more easily. With so much focus on attack types and high-speed battles, do you think spin finishes should be worth more?

​@@jerrickcomeaux4023 Dran Sword is dominating the entire game based on weight alone. If we get stamina or defense type heavier than Dran, it may be the new 'meta' when that comes. Either way, BBX is so skillful in the initial launch that we're gonna see stats matter less than the way players apply & avoid win conditions. These rounds can realistically end on the first blow. 'Bad' builds, like BBX stamina types, are some of the best at causing bursts when launched at an angle to snipe the core of other beys with the first collision. For now, if you want to beat Dran beys convincingly, use Wizardarrow and snipe their bit with the daggers on Wizard's metal, while leaning in deep. It's not easy. Takes real strategy, or luck. Enjoy the aggro meta while it lasts.

The best thing about this generation is that all the beys are evenly matched in power. Because you would think that attack types have the advantage because of the stadium's gimmick but with the right strategy, that's not always the case. I hope this continues for the rest of the series where using any type of bey is fun.

I think TT really perfected the point system with this generation, this is because the defense and stamina beys seem really strong but that is counteracted by the fact the the attack beys are rewarded more while at a bigger risk.

One thing that worries me is Bey durability, I have a Dran Sword that's gotten pretty beat up and I got it a few weeks ago, but my Wizard Arrow still looks good. I have an Ultimate Valkyrie that's seen a lot of battles as it's my favorite Bey from Burst and it still looks really good, the only Burst Bey that I have that has noticeable battle damage is my Hasbro Pro Series Prime Apocalypse (the first Bey I ever bought) and it only got the damage after being hit by a TT Judgement Joker which we all know hits like a truck. So I'm concerned about my Dran Sword wearing out or breaking, I do have a spare but I don't want to ruin that one and after seeing how beat up that brand new Dran Sword got with just a few battles, I'm hoping that Takara Tomy makes Beyblade X Beys more durable in the future

Yeah that was the first thing I thought of when I saw it. I feel like the burst mechanic does help a lot with damage (probably one of the main reasons they kept it as damage to the parts will be a lot less if the bey bursts on massive impact instead of just tanking it) but it still is super worrying. They should definitely either increase the durability or give us spare parts so that we won't have to buy a whole new set.

I'm definitely gonna think about getting Beyblade X now. The battles seem high paced and I feel like they changed the general strategy a lot with the XTREME speed as if you don't consider it it can easily be an instant lose. Sadly I can't use all my burst beys against them though cause they will definitely end up breaking them XD.

i feel like knight lance is a better defense type than knight shield, because of its counter attacks, giving it a more apparent "knock me out, or i'll make you lose your spin by smashing you away into walls and the rail, or even knock you out" kind of defense (similar to gravity perseus 90RSF in MFB), because the speed and the xtreme rail in X makes "normal" smooth defense types less good because being smooth and round doesn't protect as much from smash attacks as it did in MFB - and tips are also a huge issue to me right now. I feel like there's no good defense tips. I think once we get better defense tips (because needle sure as hell isn't defensive with that zero grip) we'll have more apparent type advantages. maybe a XWB extra wide ball or something that has tons of grip and wobbling potential... or Metal Ball! I just really hope we don't get rubber... at those speeds they'll use up harder than in MFB and you'll probably need to buy a new bey to replace it, because TT never sold separate parts sadly... still wishing for RF bags TT should release more counter attack defense, and fun mobile staminas, because the old definitions of defense and stamina don't work here...

Lance is one of my favorite beys to put offensive bits on, like Leon Claw's Point. 4-60 makes it a bit more standard, since 4-80 leaves it incredibly vulnerable to burst and "track smacks". i think Lance stock is the perfect counter to other 80-height x beys, though. It reminds me of Gravity Perseus, which was the king of counterattacks to me back in metal fight. The trick was to put some friction and weight on this type of metal wheel.
