Glad that you take the tool noise seriously. My dad damaged his hearing during his maintenance career while working on industrial machines. I have an old 120v Craftsman Professional (made in the USA back then!) die grinder that I bought in 1988 and it is NOISY but powerful (22,500 rpm) but is much larger than your pneumatic IR grinders. Used to notch the bottom of cylinder bores with it when building stroker engines. Still sees use a few times a year but probably should replace the bearings to quiet it down.

Great video work, Christian. I also commend you on your fantastic American Flag. Fabricating it with a bit of wear and tell should point out to those viewing it that it took a lot of work and sacred sacrifice to make it our national symbol. When I think of all the young people who died horrible deaths to protect our freedoms, I get a sense of hope when anyone, like yourself, is proud to display our flag. As an old vet, it's very comforting to see a young man demonstrating such pride. Please keep up the great work.

I keep two on my woodshop. A regular grinder with a cut off disc and a 90 degrees with a roloc sanding disc. Use them all the time. Nothing better for sanding random odds and ends and hard to reach stuff. Great for cutting and grinding off nails and screws. I've gotten good enough with the 90 degree grinder I can grind a nail flush without damaging the wood. Never seen another woodworker with a die grinder!

If you're ever up in Canada, the Pro Point line at Princess Auto are ridiculous quality for the money. This larger die grinder kzbin.infoUgkxmwiwyX3ADeryrwvcsiwLeKxme6QNQmGL runs very smoothly in use. There's virtually no vibration. Paddle switch with the safety trigger is a bit cumbersome to use, but is much safer. Grinder cannot turn on if set down on the bench.Note that this die grinder, like most others, runs at 25,000 rpm. Always use a face shield and hearing protection. If your grinding stone has any sign of chips or cracks, throw it away. At 25,000 rpm, the stone sees very high G-loads and could come apart explosively if the stone is damaged. Always run the grinder for a short time before using it to check the stone.This tool is heavier than some but very well made.Recommended.

Hi, I do landscaping, I am looking for a grinder to sharpen my hedge trimmers. 30 inch long blades, 2 sets of blades to sharpen per trimmer, many teeth, very small an tight. Each trimmer takes a couple of hours to do. I have 8 trimmers. These grinders look like a real slution. My question is what is the minimum size air compressor to use? I have a small dewalt 1 hp with small tank, the kind typically used for air nail guns. You did not talk about air compressors. Sorry for long post and thanks for any help.
@ValleyCityAutoYT5 жыл бұрын
james macdonnell I would suggest this die grinder. Even with your small compressor I think this one is small enough and yet fast enough and powerful enough to do what you need. Ingersoll Rand 5102MAX Air Die Grinder www.amazon.com/dp/B0081L5VEA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2QsjEb0AAJ4SZ

The Snap-On die grinders are made by Sioux. The Cornwell gearless is unfortunately no longer in production, probably since their original supplier went out of business and all of their newer air tools are made by Sunex. Personally I'm surprised that the catalog price wasn't much higher than $250. If you need a good angle die grinder and don't have a lot to spend I would not hesitate to recommend the Ampro A3028. Yes it is a bit noisy out of the box but the quality for the price is better than just about anything else I have used, and it's gearless!

@@roylowery1329 wait, I thought in th US 1/4 of a horse is equal to 4 goats, and in England 1/8 horse is equal to 5 goats and the conversion to sheep is even more twisted.
