Personally, I don't care too much for the response. If white artists can crossover to other genres, e.g., Taylor Swift, then so can she. What matters is whether she released a good album.

Beyoncé is named after Tina "A lot of people don't know that Beyoncé is my last name. It's my maiden name," she said. "My name was Celestine Beyoncé, which at that time was not a cool thing to have that weird name.

It's perfectly normal to have your original name. It's ridiculous to cave-in to the beliefs of liberals in Hollywood and change yourself to fit their mantra. You do understand that you have lost your footing. The new people are here. Your voice will be drowned out by the multitudes that are crossing the border. You are in your city now looking around seeing them. This is what happens when you just can't get yourselves together and assimilate. It's been a long time since Lincoln was president. You just can't assimilate. Not even with each other. So the new people are here. Don't get mad at me. You voted for this. Oh and thank you very much for voting for this. Because nobody else will say it. But I will.

By far not inovating. Alot of previous country music in her album. And HONESTLY. NOT ORIGINAL. SHE CAN DO BETTER. WRITE HER OWN. NOT TAKE FROM FORMERLY POPULAR TUNES. PATSY CLINE. NANCY SINATRA. It is frustrating that all the media outlets are constantly pointing to her performance at the Country Music Awards show and not feeling welcome as the catalist for this album, but none of them bother to mention that she was sharing the stage with the Chick's. A formerly hugely popular band that still had a highly contentious relationship with country music and its fans due to their own historical performances and statements. A relationship so contentious that they had not been allowed to perform at any country awards shows for years and even went as far as undergoing a change in band name as effort to distance themselves with their past history, offense to country music fans, and also other country artists. The media makes it all sound as if Beyonce was unwelcome because of race when the issue was much more complex than that. Did Beyonce even know anything about who she was taking the stage with before agreeing to do the performance?
@NSMissy6 ай бұрын
The CMA performance was where it all started. The gatekeepers of country, who also appear to be the gatekeepers of America, showed their true colors when Beyonce graced that stage. Do you not remember all of the racist comments behind that? Amerikkka went mad.
@krystalMtn6 ай бұрын
@@NSMissy As I remember, main stream media, and her own genre's media outlets all called her appearance into question. If it became about her race it was coming from those media outlets and not outlets dedicated solely to the country music scene. The big issue within country music media and fans was that the Chicks were still not welcome to country music stages at that time. Point being, that if she felt unwelcome on that evening, it likely had more to do with the Chicks performing with her. African American artists are not anything new to country music and have had a place in that genre for many years despite there being few interested, until more recent years.
@NSMissy6 ай бұрын
@krystalMtn her being unwelcome had more to do with her being black than it had anything to do with the Dixie Chics. I remember all of the deplorable racist comments on social media. The receipts are out there. If she had of performed solo it would of still been the same reaction. It's a handful of black country artists that Amerikkka is suddenly pretending to be cool with just to act like there was never a problem with black country artists.
@krystalMtn6 ай бұрын
@NSMissy Social media is a different matter than actual accredited media. Anyone can say whatever they want. That doesn't make their comments truth anymore than it makes them spokespeople for an entire genre of music, fans, or it's artists. Your own claim that country music has suddenly shown interest in black artists doesn't even hold truth given there are some big names who were or are well-known black artists in country music and have been for many decades. Plus, there are those who jumped genres and had songs or music on the country charts at various times through the decades. Lionel Ritchie accomplished that on multiple occasions, and I think even the Pointer Sisters made the country charts at one time many years ago. Darius Rucker and Riannon Giddens were on the country and the bluegrass rosters when Beyonce did her performance with the Chick's. They've not been the "Dixi Chick's" for many years and changed their name multiple times for the reasons I mentioned.
