She was talking about her Self-Titled album release at 4:35. This album stopped the world LITERALLY. She decided to drop this album out of the blue at midnight on a Friday. This then LITERALLY changed the rules of the entire WORLDS MUSIC INDUSTRY standard music release day, from a Tuesday to a Friday, which is why now EVERY SINGLE artist releases their songs/albums on a Friday at midnight . The Beyoncé’s albums visuals also inspired the creation of a sky scraper. This was one of the most impactful albums in history, starting with the fact the album was a NON PROMOTIONAL, SURPRISE RELEASE, that sold 850k in 3 days, becoming the fastest selling iTunes album of all time. Not to mention the album was the album that popularised visual albums and surprise releases. the album became the best selling female album of 2013 in less than a month of release selling 4M by the end of the year despite being released in December, not to mention the album is still charting in the top 30 in 100 different countries on iTunes despite being released 8 years ago

A little Context for some of the clips: 1) 0:38 / She’s fixing Jay’s bracelet because he couldn’t figure it out on his own. 2) 1:05 / Yeah, people were pressed (per usual🙄) and talking shit about her being too sexual and showing off her body in the “Self-Titled” Era (Album: Beyoncé), and she was just talking about how hard she worked to get her body back after having Blue and being comfortable enough to show off her body and express her sexuality. 3) 1:20 / BTS for the “Party” music video 4) 1:42 / BTS for the “Best Thing I Never Had” video. In the video she’s at prom with her BF who’s literally disrespecting her and not paying her any attention at all, while also focusing on other girls.... So that’s why she said her “prom” sucks. 5) 2:11 / She was talking about the night she released “Self-Titled”. It was the first time she had ever done that, and maybe (correct me if I’m wrong, anybody) the FIRST artist to do so, kind of creating this trend of other artists dropping projects without promo.
