I’ve seen this video/interview dozens of times. I love sincere Beyoncé comes across, but there are several moment where I’d like to reach through the screen and give pierce a good dinozzo slap upside the back of his head. It borders between patronizing and insulting. He’s okay with Beyoncé owning the label “first woman at Glastonbury” but shoos away any mention of race”. For once I would live to hear a journalist interview a musician/singer without asking about their heels, their big dilemma of the day in choosing outfits. It’s patronizing and insulting! It’s one thing to have the b roll footage to have that, but when you have a performer like Beyoncé who has kicked ass in everything she has set her mind to, the interviewer seems oblivious to it.
