Tell Em! Beyoncé ain’t “going country”, she already is country. Even when it wasn’t popular, she leaned into her southern Texas roots. As a Black Southern woman myself, I’m empowered by how she busted down the door that has largely stood btwn Country music and the Black community. It’s ours too. I didn’t know that until now. Thank You, Beyoncé!! And claps to every other diverse artist doing the work and fighting the good fight👏🏽

There are some stunning songs on Cowboy Carter. Beyonce's dad is from Gasden Alabama and her Mom, Louisiana. She is from Texas. If you are from the south, you know about walking barefoot on dirt roads, playing outside, the southern food, going to country churches and smelling food cooking. I remember loving Barbara Mandrell and Kenny Rogers' music. I remember Dolly closing with I Will Always Love You. Loved her music, too. Beyonce album touches different genre's, mixes some. Who knows what her third album will be, but bravo to her for Cowboy Carter. Shout out to all those black cowgirls and guys, those with farms and those all over trying to break into country music. May you have success and live your lives well.

@@AwesomeBabyBoomer Whats her lane then? Shes done hip hop, R&B/Soul, Rap and Pop. She even did a 'Show Tune' number with Hugh Jackson. If she wants to in infuse some Country Twang into her music, I see no reason why she shouldn't do it, however, she is not a country music artist and this album isn't a organic country album...
