I will admit I listen to Beyoncé almost daily but when I do listen to Ariana I do like her choice in note selection when she runs and riffs, especially on her first album.

They both sound great. I think Ariana is better at high notes, however, her voice is naturally higher and can hit them with ease whereas Beyonce has a lower voice and takes some extra work to get up to her higher register. Overall I think Beyonce is the better vocalist because even at a young age she had flawless technique, amazing runs, and her voice always resonates. She can also utilize her vocals to their full capacity which makes up for the fact that she doesn't have a super high range (it's still impressive though.) Ariana is great too, but her enunciation and lower register need some work. She also sounds nasally at times. I really like this video, good job.

Beyoncé wins this, but I have to note that her lows are AMAZING. Since Ariana is a soprano, it's not likely for her to be to keen around her lower register. However, Beyonce being a mezzo has it's flaws: she can't hit the high notes like a soprano does. So Ariana clearly wins the high notes. Also, Ariana has an amazing voice. She could be the next big vocalist in the industry since all the legends are disappearing from the music industry. So if she practices and fixes her tongue tension, support her range a little more, and polish her diction, she'd be good as new!

Number Jat Ariana's high notes are not resonant. She has zero resonance that's why her belts are thin, shrill (,almost a squeal) She has good range but has a really bad technique. She pushes her larynx high that's why she always sounds nasal. Her enunciation bad too. And her lower register is not great either. She has weak vocal runs and melismas. She can reach high notes with ease but it is not supported that's why it doesn't sound good.

The thing that pisses me off about the people commenting is that they disregard the fact that ariana is 12 years younger than Bey, and that half the clips being played are from when she's like 16,17... I love Beyoncé to death and she was my first concert but I'm seeing Ariana tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited. FIRST of all, Beyonce and arianas voice textures are TOTALLY different. Beyonce has more of a "grit" in her voice she naturally has. Ariana can get "raunchy" with her voice at times. but naturally, Ariana has more of a strong softer "thinner" sound texture, and Beyonce can naturally do a more raspier sound. Second, With a few more years of working and training of arianas voice, she'll be on Queen Beys level in no time. Just because Beyonce is amazing and a queen, doesn't mean others can't be too. Lmao. Also, Arianas voice right now is already soooo damn amazing. She's improved SO MUCH on her voice by JUST comparing her voice in 2016 to 2015. +Marc Jethro Lucero I personally think Ariana Grande is a better vocalist. But Beyonce is a queen, and an impactful singer. Shes there since day one and is so unique. Beyonce is no Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston unlike Ariana, who is incredibly a good singer. But if I need to make a choice, Ill go to queen bee since shes an impactful singer, for the better of the world XD. I do love Ari! Im an arianator so hard ;)

Let me stop you right there because being a good vocalist has nothing to do with options but objective facts and objectively Ariana Grande is NOT a good vocalist. She has no support or resonance above B4, has horrible diction and doesn't enunciate well live, plus she has an uneven head dominant mix in her belting. Secondly Beyoncé is definitely on the same level vocally as Whitney and Mariah DON'T get it twisted. Beyoncé has 4 octaves of resonant and supported sound, plus she has way better agility & the best control in the industry and this is not an opinion but factual info that I'm am stating. Now there is nothing wrong with having a preference for Ariana over Beyoncé but please don't go stating false info without knowing your facts

+Chris Anwuri what you said is actually not facts, it will always be on your opinion. She support her upper level belting and f#3. And she can do super head voice and whistle, may not be the prettiest, but incredible. As i said, I prefer the voice of Ariana. You prefer Beyonce.
