She's no Tina Turner. She's no Aretha. She's no Whitney Houston. She's certainly no Floor Jansen. She's maybe on a par with Mariah. How she is the biggest thing in pop today is just weird. The standard in mainstream pop vocals has fallen so far it's inexplicable. But nice analysis guys. Love you.

Hiawatha Goldstein eh I don’t think that’s fair tbh. Beyoncé is definitely a very talented and hard working individual & deserves the hype she gets. I’ve seen her live and man is she a force to be reckon with. I get not being a fan or her not even being your cup of tea but it’s definitely not fair to act like she’s some mediocre artist.

She's not mediocre. She's hard working, etc., just as you say. But for her and Adele to be the two biggest stars today is baffling, when you compare them with some of the other people I mentioned. Something has gone wrong with the industry, because I'm sure there are people of Tina Turner caliber out there. We're just not recognizing them.
