The ex I was talking about here came back almost two years later, to my surprise. Then I remembered I left this comment here, and a part of me was singing this song in my head after he asked to get back, feeling a bit of vindication. But, I mostly felt pity. Back when I wrote that initial comment, I thought, if I ever see him again, I would rub it in his face how much better my life is and how much happier I am without him. The "I bet it sucks to be you right now" bit. But now that I have moved on, happy with life and relationship, and now that I actually saw his not-so-good state, I just genuinely wanted him to move on too and heal and be a better person... and also to let me go.

Great song! I was in a relationship with this guy for almost 4 years and I always thought we’d end up together. I always picture us getting married and having kids. I was about to get my internship abroad and he helped me with that, but 1 month before my flight he stopped talking to me and when I called him a girl answered. He didn’t even talked to me I can hear the girl say ‘talk you her! Tell her!’. Instead of talking to me he just texted me saying that he is with someone else and she already met his parents too. I didn’t even know that we broke up lol, but as soon as my Visa got approved I got over him. I came to the US, 3 months of being here I met someone and months after dating we decided to get married and after being engaged we found out we’re having a baby 😊.
