I would be interested to see any video you make on using Lightning wallet (I know you say you ended up not using yours much). I have a full Bitcoin node, a Lightning node, I have some sats on my Lightning node Wallet, AND experimental amounts of BTC in a wallet that supports Lightning. I'm not sure how to get liquidity in my Lightning wallet. I have BlueWallet & Zeus.

Unfortunately, Umbrel has become proprietary with the new version 1.0 that it requires an installation on top of an operating system controlled by them. I was running on linux with raid1 by software and now they've pulled the rug out from under me. I hope that the old version will persist for a while until I migrate to a different system.

What does that mean ? Did you lost privacy or can they take your crypto ?

@@pennteller2552 No. I'm just afraid that my data could be corrupted because Umbrel doesn't allow me to protect it with disk redundancy and encryption security. Umbrel offers neither. But if you don't use Umbrel to manage your Bitcoin, then you can use the many apps in their store and protect yourself with regular backups. A lightning node cannot be protected with disk backups.

Interesting, I'm running umbrel on top of Linux as well.. Update has been pending release for a while now. We'll see how this plays out, I was thinking of testing Start9 next anyway.

@pennteller2552 Bitcoin, not crypto. And no, I don't think you're at any extra risk for losing any Bitcoin with the update, but it's always good to be extra careful. In my opinion multisig is great for peace of mind, but be confident in learning how it works before attempting, the last thing you want to do is lock yourself out from accessing your own Bitcoin.

@@bitcoinlearning365 how is that working out, still using Linux with umbrel ?
