Hello Jordan and Desire, if you need to stop before Malta, you can stop in Bizerte (Tunisia) there is a nice marina named Marina Bizerte. Just do not arrive before noon because fishermen put net in water and there are a lot, it’s like a trap….we have been caught there for 2 hours in May 2022. Fair wind guys

Love the wide shots of Atticus II 🤩 ! She looks mighty fair...
Still love your channel. I watch three sailing channels on a regular basis. I watch SV Delos, La Vagabond, and Atticus every week. I've watched every Delos and Atticus video, and like 75% of La Vagabond's. If y'all keep it up I will too.

I went to the island of Mallorca back in the 70's by boat. It was an incredible experience. The water was crystal clear. My buddy and I rented a car and drove from the south side of the island to a small town on the north side and had lunch at a very nice restaurant on the waterfront. Driving down the very winding road into town the water in the bay was so clear you could see the bottom of the bay. The food at the restaurant was excellent and not expensive the drive was beautiful and well worth doing. I was aboard a U.S. Navy Aircraft carrier at the time. It was one of our most memorable stops and one of my favorites during the entire time we were in the Mediterranean. Thanks for the video. Fair winds and following seas. Sail On!

To help prevent your whisker pole jamming, try putting a series of guide marks on both poles where they intersect. I use arrows of both sections of an ILCA (Laser) mast, easy to see. Regarding ancient boating, knowledge and obeservation of the weather is still important despite modern systems, even in the last 20 years understanding of cloud types, etc. is less. Another good source of weather data, updated hourly is netweather tv, particularly the GFS Charts. Most providers update less frequently, ask commercial captains, they know far more than me.

The CAPE function in Predict Wind is very useful in determining the likelyhood of lightning and squall activity during a passage. I attended an on-line Predict Wind seminar awhile back and learned if precipitation is expected in the same area of concern this further increases the odds of lightning. If no precipitation is expected than the likelyhood of lightning decreases.

As someone who has been into videography for about 10 years myself, I totally agree. I often feel a lot of my personal efforts are overlooked. I see those same efforts put into the Atticus videos because they stand out to me. They do a fantastic job.

Your boat is so beautiful now. Cartagena is AWESOME!!!. The one thing I wanted to say, because I lost my best friend last year ..is remember your little fuzzy buddy when you guys have your Baby. So many times, couples have their Baby and don't pay as much attention to the little one they Love too. Osso is awesome and needs you too. Jordan encapsulated in describing his "favorite moment" at 4:44 what every person can experience just going for a day sail on a seaworthy sailboat (with a comfortable cockpit) that handles well on a morning or afternoon sail for a few hours in perfect weather. You don't even need "the instruments" he mentions.

We have seen in Pennsylvania building over old structures. Specifically the many canals built along the rivers during early industrialization. These got built over, sometimes illegally, by the new railroads. Later these railroads fell out of favor and roads and highways were built over them. Some of the canal locks and boat building sites have now been dug out as ‘historical’ interest sites! Cheers warren

I was out on the balcony of our ship while watching and I looked up from the video and was quite surprised… I was so engrossed in your video that I had to think were I was and why the surrounding ares was so different. A testament , for me , how captivating your videos really are. Also how vast and huge the ocean is. It really does take special people to sail the oceans like you two are doing. I really envy your lifestyle and respect the knowledge and courage it takes to do what you do. Like always have fun, be safe and see you next week.

Wow! Can't wait for you to visit Palma de Mallorca! My two favorite port of calls in the 80's was Palma de Mallorca & Malaga! It will be fun to see if I recognize anything! Beautiful narrow streets and architecture and ancient ornate churches! SO Beautiful! And the people there were so beautiful and friendly! I was there in Christmas time and my best friend and I visited a bar on that was family owned and they lived upstairs above the bar. They were closed on Christmas day except for their families where they celebrated with one another and shared stories, good food and family! My friend and I both being away from family at Christmas were invited back to attend their Christmas shared and welcomed into their family! It was truly amazing! And I shall never forget that memory, Holiday and friends. We felt like family and ate like kings with all the home-cooked delicacies of their local culture and personal family recipes! What a blessing that celebration and Christmas was! Looking forward to going back with you two! Thank you, for reviving such a wonderful memory and experience!
