OnLiveDavid Huh I don't remember it that short.... at least for 2003 or whenever it was released it felt really long, maybe it was also because I was just 10 when playing this (omg it was rated 12). But I remember it being one of my most favorite games. It felt authentic and didn't bore even as a single player game. I even had a poster of Jade hanging around (while we are at it, where the heck did I put it)

I wanted to check this game out so I watched a gameplay video of it and as soon as I heard this music i was like "IM BUYING THIS GAME" and this is only within the first couple of minutes they really know how to reel you in with the beginning of this game

When i was little ( around 12 ) i wasn't able to go beyond the factory level because i was scared shitless of the monster and the soldier. I completely finished the game 10 years later and i have to say : i'm glad i did. The final boss mechanic when he mess up your command to be the other way around is hard as hell. Having to hit left in order to hit right etc. One of the best boss i ever did in a game. Would never have managed to win it at 12. Too bad we didn't got a beyond good and evil 2 .-.

the story is deeper as you may think. there were several hidden messages. on of them is in this soundtrack. the domz spelling jades codename shauni. also the ending of the game is just the beginning of something bigger.

well its in a production hell, probably because Michel's ideas collided with desires of the managers. Also Michel just left the game industry completely and now its a big question whether the game will ever be released. But you know what? I believe Ubisoft doesnt like to hold its projects in a development state for too long and mostly tries to release a bugged shit sooner, but now maybe they gave the project some time to develop (maybe even some fresh air for creativity although that is more unlikely)

@@HelenysTargaryen I get it, as I mentioned above, the chanting, along with the rest of the original voices carry a real sense of gravitas. It draws you in and makes you feel the weight and tension behind the threat of the DomZ. By comparison the new voices fail at this, the singing tries too hard to sound dramatic, and instead comes across forced, and when you combine that with the lack of the DomZ chanting the whole thing sounds emotionally flat.

This game's sales sucked because Ubisoft released "Prince of Persia" right at the same time, so IT got all of the marketing attention that THIS one should've gotten. They did the same thing to "Rayman Origins," which came out at the same time as one of the "Assassin's Creed" games. Ubisoft really doesn't seem to like Ancell...
