My favorite part is the beginning with those cute little girls. I lived in Korea for one year and whenever I was working out in the park nearby, little kids would come around and play with me. They would try to hang on the pull-up bar but were too short so I would lift them so they could grab that bar. Now I am back to Belgium and when I work out and that kids come around to play, the parents quickly come and tell their kids to stay away from me. I feel happiness has lost people's soul, they all look at each other with hatred and fear.
@bike4aday
@bike4aday 3 жыл бұрын
I relate to this so much. Kids can sometimes be very present and overly joyful which is just like the bliss states. A kid looking at you and smiling can draw you right into a bliss state of mindfulness. But what follows the bliss is fear and dread when the thought arises "They'll think you're a predator if youre joyful. You don't want to be seen as a predator, do you?". Attachment to our children brings fear of predators. Joyful adults brings discomfort of unusualness. Ego's attachment to what others think brings fear of being seen as a predator. There is suffering everywhere, but yet there is still bliss in a child's eye, in curious mindful attention, in silly action with no purpose, in a smile with no reason.

Yes, the western world and the collective has been ruined because of so many predators and pedophiles. What has been ruined is the connection between the dimensions of kids and adults, very reciprocally beneficial. That is keeping contact with different human states. But no, that has been corrupted and ruined, can't play with them anymore and also relationship with adults has become more delicate. Society produced ill individuals and now is collective karma. Pity.

The MJ quote reminds me of Sufism in Pakistan, the adherent or Sufi would spin wildly, madly to the sound of the Dhol drum and others will change "mast qalandar mast" (the dervish spins, spins) they do it because they become the drum, they become the dance they become the whirling and they feel it brings themselves closer to God. The term "fana" literally means annihilation or cessation.

A whole lot of doctrine to complexify a simple reality: when you authentically explore sensations without language, there’s no such thing as “one thing and another thing”, because pure sensation knows no dimension. Things require language to distinguish one another. Pure sensation is devoid of language. Sitting down to say “I’m going to observe my sensations” is like starting the video game from a dead end. Observation itself is a sensation 😂, usually in the head space. If laying down, it could be spread out a bit. The point is, the more one relaxes into pure minute sensations, the more “outer shells” of concepts fall apart. Like Russian dolls. There’s a next bigger shell of concept after the last. Once your “last concept” cracks like an empty egg shell, an awakening experience takes place. It’s that simple. Historical texts have simply named the sensational experience of each egg shell crack and fall. Each experience’s nuances make them seem complex, unique, hierarchical and difficult to attain, but the feeling of a difficulty is part of the language trap once again. The first real awakening is being aware of the sensation of “resistance to being aware of sensations”. The second is exploring/investigate said sensation. The third is to sit still and explore further emerging and falling sensations continually. The fourth is becoming genuinely aware of the illusory attainment hierarchy, which is possible early on. But I’m not enlightened. Just what I’ve experienced so far.

Frank what is the difference between: Mindfulness/Vipassana = Contraction Dzogchen/Non-Dual Awareness = Expansion Vipassana is scanning sensations and dissolving them Non-dual awareness is just the snake eating itself? turning awareness on itself? So they are the same but different. Is that what you mean? Obviously, experientially, it is hardly elusive. but I was just wondering if intellectually I understood it. Thanks!

Are you just young to The big E right now or do you currently feel like this will be your state in terms of how you go about life for the foreseeable future (if you had to think about this) For lack of a better word you look less grounded than most mystics/enlighteneds are... Frank we still love you and your vids, it seems like your channel might be dying but I want you to hang in there in keep at it. Your golden age of videos was when you were dating vida, we really want you to go back to that time! Everything was so perfect from the content, editing, vibe, love stories, it was all so good. I hope you can go back to that time, and get your channel back to where it used to be. The mindfulness videos are a bit hard to follow and I feel like a lot of us miss things from a good time ago. Even after all these years I am still in love with the you and your videos from 5 yrs ago bro!

I love you too I am sorry I left you behind. But asking what's left here to go back to making videos from 5 years ago is like asking Ronnie Coleman to go back to being a vegan skater in a previous life Hahahha. There's not a particle of "Frank yang" left inside this meatsuit. This is actually an entirely new channel, I'm just using poor Frank's meatsuit to spread enlightenment. The only direct for Consciousness is to wake up to itself.

I do make lots of references to quantum physics although I'm in no expert about it hahah I always say Contemplative fitness is doing physics from the "inside" when there's no more distinction between inside or outside or any domains of knowledge and experiences

What about torture and pain? Is the cost worth the price? Why is suffering which is virtually 99% of existence worth any form of this supposed enlightenment? Why is that person dying from famine as I type this or that old man suffering from cancer worth someone elses enlightenment or joy or whatever? How does me getting this enlightenment change his subjective experience? Even thought it could be a mental construct it is as good as real. For me existence is unnecessary and no good experience justifies the bad ones. Not even close. I would negate all existence in a millisecond if I had the power.

I hope you answer this. For every winner there are thousands of losers. Why is this a good game? Why is consciousness the good guy instead of the enemy? How can all these supposes infinite beings not able to help everyone in an instant even though it would transgress their free will? If I see someone in the street dying and bleeding I will call an ambulance and help him instead if saying: "its his karma lol " or " everything is nothing abd everything is perfect haha" or whatever. Sentient being have moral value regardless if someone considers this to be a dream or whatever. Plz answer because all of this is very confusing.
