Given the revelations about Mjolnir in recent years, I have to say I'm curious as to how powerful Stormbreaker is, and how Odin was able to so quickly provide Bill with such a weapon. Similar weapons he's commissioned have not been as strong (Thunderstrike). Odin was basically pulling a fast one by not yielding Mjolnir to Bill, but rather than give him a cheap knockoff, Stormbreaker seems to be the real deal.

It's simple: Back then, Mjolnir was powered by the Odinforce in the comics so Stormbreaker was equal. That whole "living storm" bullshit was a crock in my opinion.

Even when he is forced to lose his signature weapon because the movie version of his "brother", Thor, wields it, my dude pressed on and persevered. Eventually, he even gained a big honking anime sword. Not bad.

In my marvel universe series show Beta Ray Bill is a part of The Infinity Watch. An example on his power level is that he once struck a small planet so hard that not only it split apart but the shockwave it would generate destroyed the surrounding asteroids and alien ship. He can cut through any blasts as strong as the odinforce with Stormbreaker and even survive those blasts to. Even before wielding Stormbreaker his punches is seen giving black marks on Thor’s body and the only other one to do that was Hulk (not in strongest). He could punch out a tooth from World Breaker Hulk. He also gives Surtur a black eye by wielding Stormbreaker and Mjolnir

I would like to take this opportunity to say Avengers: Earth's mightiest heroes was amazing and it introduced so many Marvel characters to people who were no die hard comic book readers. In one episode, it is the exact origin story of Beta Ray Bill and how Thor intercepted his ship and Beta Ray Bill was awakened by the presence of Thor and handles him because of the energy that Thor is putting off that Beta Ray Bill thinks is Surtur or his fire demons. After Bill is able to lift Mjolnir and is about hammer Thor, Odin uses the Bi-Frost to bring him to Asgard and the whole scenario of Odin giving him Stormbreaker.
