Ego is a character that could have easily been a been threat for the MCU as a whole. Like Avengers level threat. Not that I didn't enjoy him in GotG Vol.2, but I believe he could have been a whole lot more. In the Thor run, when he was fused with the Necrosword, that was extremely dope. His power levels there were something else for what he was able to do.

It’s an interesting idea for sure. Wasn’t there a planet that became a green lantern or something akin to a planet? For me it is a lot more about what you do with a character than the makeup of that character. What I mean is the idea of ego is more complex and arguably more creative than the idea of spiderman or batman, but the stories you can tell with that idea. Well I think you know where I am going with this.

Hey Comics Explained--seeing that shot of Rom the Space Knight brought back some memories. Why not do a series on comics/spinoffs that failed? It would give you a chance to flesh out some of the more obscure characters nobody's heard of, give your view on why the series didn't make it, and maybe give some background as to what motivated the company to do it in the first place. Big, powerful characters are always interesting, but so are big mistakes. And I think with the New Warriors on the horizon, now is a good time to start exploring some of the mistakes :)

The idea of ego throws The Marvel Universe a curve ball from the left and people don't expect it. I like the concept of ego as I do other cosmic beings b/c it's not about powers in their stories it's more abstract and subtle. The idea is creating a story on an existential level that will draw people into it with these powerful beings. So more stories with Cosmic beings would be cool. Like a mini series where the Celestial's debate life and death.

i used to have a comic of Quasar and Ego had a baby called baby ego or they just called it Ego . It was weird even though adult Ego was a villain baby ego was Ego reborn and could be taught the difference between right and wrong from Quasar's perspective. Quasar had a lot of villains he made friends . Even Thanos never seems to kill him even though Thanos does some gruesome sick things to Quasar . Like melting away his arms so he cant use his power bands. Thanos prefers to humble Quasar for some reason making Quasar a much more aggressive hero now then he used to be. That's like matching Howard the Duck against Donald Duck just because they're ducks with violent streaks. There's no contest on either competition. Ego would easily dominate all other "living planets" since he's practically celestial level in power. Mogo has the power of the green spectrum and that's it. He may be able to teleport and time travel with help, but Ego outclasses almost every individual universal entity (not multiversal) in either DC or Marvel.
