I never saw such an intense and hard fought love story. In the end, Alexander really started to test her because he knew she loved him too. He won and I was elated. Truly wonderful and well done.

@@BeyondSanditon He knew. She kissed him, touched his hand at the concert with tears in her eyes, stared at him many times, wouldn't go home with Rslph. The real problem was that she had committed to marry Ralph and didn't know how to get out of it. Runaway Bride hadn't come out yet. When Ralph said he would be glad to leave Sanditon and get back to his boring life and town Alexander asked Charlotte if that's how she felt too. He KNEW she didn't and couldn't resist the opportunity to point it out to her. I actually thought that was funny and smart. When Alexander and Charlotte.caught Augusta and Edward in the hotel he first directed his comments to Charlotte about a woman being able to make her choice concerning who to marry. Very smart! Keep driving that point home until she can't stand it anymore. That night she told Ralph she couldn't marry him.

Beautifully, beautifully done. I wish they'd release a Sanditon - extended play and give us more scenes. When I look back, there's only one thing that's really missing - 3x Alexander tells her that he loves her -- but not once does she ever tell him that she loves HIM. It's only soulful looks (and well done of course), but not one word to him. Only to Mary and Georgiana and Ralph!
