I enjoyed visiting the narrow streets of Chirag Delhi after a long time. The area features narrow lanes with small shops, some of which are newly opened. The streets are lined with very old houses, some of which appear to be from ancient times. The lanes are only accessible by two-wheelers, with no room for other vehicles. I saw children playing, heard chanting from the temple and observed locals busy with their daily trades. However, I sometimes got confused in the winding streets, reaching dead ends and had to turn back.

- Location: Chirag Delhi is situated in the heart of South Delhi, near Saket, Soami Nagar, Greater Kailash and Nehru Place.
- History: The area has a rich history dating back to the 14th century, with references to the Chirag Delhi village in ancient texts.

- Landmarks: Notable landmarks include the Chirag Delhi Dargah (a Sufi shrine), the Chirag Delhi Village, and the Asiad Village Complex (built for the 1982 Asian Games).
- Amenities: The area offers a range of amenities, including markets, restaurants, schools and healthcare facilities.
- Connectivity: Chirag Delhi is well-connected to other parts of Delhi via public transportation, including buses and the metro, Chirag Delhi metro station is located on the Magenta Line. The station was opened for public on 29 May 2018.
