Totally-MXoN has that all-star game vibe with a dash of national pride! 🌍🏁 Do you think it could ever evolve into something bigger, like a true “Olympics” of motocross, or is the current format what makes it so special? 🤔🔥
@WaxedWicked20 күн бұрын
Fair point-MXoN is *deadly* serious when the gate drops. 🏁🔥 The intensity riders bring is no joke, and the pride they’re riding for is on another level. You’re right-the comparison to an all-star game doesn’t quite hit when you think about how fierce it gets on the track. Do you think the pressure of representing their country amps up the riders even more than chasing individual championships? 🌍💪
@WaxedWicked20 күн бұрын
That’s actually a great comparison-the Ryder Cup vibe totally fits MXoN. 🌍🏁 It’s a chance for riders (or golfers) to represent their countries, but with *serious* stakes and bragging rights. Definitely no insult there-it’s just a different kind of pressure and pride. Do you think MXoN could ever get as big globally as the Ryder Cup is for golf, or is it destined to stay a hardcore fan’s event? 🤔🔥

Everything has got to end sooner or later, but as far as winning the 2025 championship, it will depend on starts, track positioning, and just the metal confidence and fortitude to put it all on the line at his age, lets face it jets 20, eli is like 34, so everything, training, stamina etc means that tomac is going to have to work that much harder because of his age
@WaxedWicked6 күн бұрын
Absolutely, age vs. youth is such an epic storyline in sports! 💪 Do you think Eli has a specific advantage over Jett despite the age gap? Maybe experience or race IQ? Would love to hear your take on how he can turn those challenges into strengths!"

I think Jett will dominate for a few years, while prado learns the tracks next year, and while haiden gets used to the class in 26. If prado still gets the same starts he did in GPs, but on the kawi, he will be running with jett. As for Haiden, i heard on a podcast one day that haiden could be the one to dethrone jett, and i believe that.

No telling what his career may look like without that crash in 2015, before he went out he was going so fast on that Honda, winning one moto by over a minute and a half ahead of second place. I think that was the fastest he ever rode, but he did also say that the reason he left honda was because the bike would put him on the ground randomly without him knowing what went wrong.
@WaxedWicked20 күн бұрын
Spot on-2015 was a "what if" year for Tomac for sure. That insane pace on the Honda was unforgettable, but it’s wild to think how much better things might’ve been without that crash. 😮💨 And yeah, if a bike’s putting you on the ground unpredictably, it’s definitely time to move on! Do you think the switch to Kawasaki was the perfect fit for his riding style, or did it just come down to needing a fresh start? 🏁🔥
@HeavyK_MXB18 күн бұрын
@WaxedWicked I think he will be even better than he was before the injury in 2023, it'll be a much different start to the season than it was last year for him. I honestly think he was 100% healthy to start 2024, and even had enough time to be ready to race, but I think the way the 2023 injury happened the way it did with him not doing anything wrong, just going through a rhythm and his Achilles snapping, I think it just took him most of 2024 to fully trust his body again. I think he was physically capable of winning at the very beginning of 2024, he just didn't have the confidence to ride like himself. He seemed to be getting it back before the thumb injury, and that one was a crash so I don't think it led to him losing any of that confidence, didn't look like it at the last 2 rounds of MX, mxon, or WSX. I kinda feel like Jett and Chase will both struggle this year and I think Tomac will come in 100% ready to go and hungry, I believe he can win the championship and tbh I think he is going to win it if he stays healthy all season

How can you Not include his winningest SX season 2017 where he put it on fellow graet Ryan Dungey who only won 3 races, Eli Made a couple mistakes but won 9 races more than any other season including championship seasons Eli is also the 3rd winningest racer in MX a few behind Dungey, who's #2 & RC #1 & nobody is catching the Goat
@WaxedWicked20 күн бұрын
Great point-2017 was an insane season for Eli! 🔥 Winning 9 races and putting the pressure on Dungey all season long was nothing short of legendary. Even though the championship slipped away, that season showed his raw dominance. And yeah, being 3rd all-time in MX wins is no joke. Do you think Eli has it in him to surpass Dungey for #2 before he hangs it up, or is that gap too much to close? 🏁🐐

how could you gloss over his 2015 motos before thunder valley? dominating by over a minute or have I not watched long enough
@twotwentyswiftАй бұрын
Those were the most impressive rides I've seen in my years of watching moto. I kept saying "slow down Eli, you don't have to beat them THAT bad". Then the wreck happened at Thunder Valley and I was sick to my stomach. The way he left the track I thought his arms and legs were broken. But when a man has as much grit as Eli, there's no question he'd not only come back, but dominate!
@WaxedWicked20 күн бұрын
You’re absolutely right-those 2015 motos before Thunder Valley were straight-up insane! Dominating by over a minute? That’s GOAT-level stuff. 🐐🔥 Do you think that was peak Tomac, or has he topped even that since? 🤔🏁
@WaxedWicked20 күн бұрын
Man, those pre-Thunder Valley rides were unreal-like watching a man possessed! 💥 And yeah, that wreck was gut-wrenching. The way he got carted off, I thought the same-game over. But Tomac? Nah, grit doesn’t even begin to cover it. 💪 Do you think that injury made his later dominance even more impressive, like it added another layer to his legend? Or was it just another chapter in the story of a beast? 🏁🔥

Well if so called "world championships" are important to you he'll have a World Supercross Championship in a few weeks. It's kind of like the European basketball league claiming their world champions though, when we all know the NBA is far more talented.
@WaxedWicked20 күн бұрын
Fair point-no world championship does set him apart from some other legends. But would you say his dominance in AMA Supercross and Motocross still solidifies his place as one of the all-time greats? 🏁🔥 Or does the lack of a world title really knock him down a peg? 🤔
@WaxedWicked20 күн бұрын
That’s definitely one way to look at it! AMA Supercross and Motocross are undeniably the pinnacle for a lot of riders. 🏁🔥 Do you think we’ll ever see a unified global series where the best of AMA and MXGP go head-to-head for ultimate bragging rights? Now that would be epic! 🌍💪
@WaxedWicked20 күн бұрын
Fair analogy! 🏀🏁 The World Supercross Championship will definitely add another layer to his already stacked legacy, even if the competition doesn’t stack up to AMA levels. Do you think this title will change how people see him globally, or is it more of a cherry on top of his career? 🍒🐐

@twotwentyswiftАй бұрын
Yes Jett is better than Eli was at the early stage of his career but Jett has a long way to go to have the wins Eli has. Jett certainly has the potential but potential doesn't always end up delivering results. I personally think Ken Roczen was as talented, or nearly as talented as Eli when the 2 started competing a dozen or so years ago, but as you can see, it's Eli in the win columns by a mile.
@WaxedWicked20 күн бұрын
Fair point-Jett’s got some serious talent and style for sure. 🌟 But do you think Jett’s ready to handle Tomac’s experience and race IQ over a full season, or will Eli show him a thing or two in 2025? 🏁🔥
@WaxedWicked20 күн бұрын
Great breakdown! Jett’s early dominance is undeniable, but you’re spot on-potential doesn’t always translate into the long-term success Eli’s had. 🏁🔥 And yeah, Roczen had all the talent to rival Eli, but injuries and consistency seemed to make the difference. Do you think Jett has what it takes to stay healthy and match Eli’s longevity, or is there too much unpredictability in a sport as brutal as motocross? 🤔💪
