I bought a 2022 kx450sr. Ie. The monster works edition bike used with total control kyb suspension. Like new. Like 20 hours. 5600$. It’s the sickest bike Ive ever had. Ive bought 3/4 new Ktm’s 2&4. New yz450. Ive had probably 20 bikes. Only one Honda and never a Suzuki but not opposed. This kx will pull up no clutch every gear. Cadillac like suspension. Came with pro circuit titanium full exhaust. Yah. I never buy used because I don’t want clapped out mystery meat. I was wanting the crf450we. Or the kx450sr. I’m not disappointed at all. It was 12,5 new. And 56 now. Pfft. No regrets at all. F new.

@@johntomasik1555 Older models use a belt drive and had 2 year belt change intervals, I doubt this has that and the shim/valve clearnaces aren't that different to other engines. My concern is the sell price....if its more than KTM pricing, it will be a serious negative to sales.

My comment regarding it is more about how amazed I was when hearing how many people complained the 4 stroke was too complicated to work on themselves. I figured, right or wrong, that this drive system wasn't making their life any easier. Honestly, IMO, what we need are many more open riding areas, even more so than less expensive bikes. Started riding in the 70's, and we pretty much got away with riding anywhere in suburbia. Those days are gone.

Two improvements to be made. Magneto that has a puller designed into it like a sram bicycle crank. And a steel protective sleeve that protects cases from damage when the bike throws a rod. Also wonder about 3D printed case halves out of titanium. (Bought an old bike to repair and ran into these issues).

Ducati won every single race of MotoGP last year except 1 in which they took 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place. Its the Porsche of Motorcycles that thinks its a Ferrari. Anything you can do to get with Ducati in 2024-2025 is better than anything any of us have ever done. I never thought of wanting one much but now I cant imagine wanting any other brand. Ducati needs a good development rider for SuperCross that they can get for a 2 year contract. I don't see Sexton as a development rider, since he is always chasing his frontend setup. I see Kenny, and Eli only doing WSX for 2026. Anderson, Barcia, and Webb will probably go WSX also. Hayden may be a good choice if they can work with Brian. Most likely Troy has a short list already that may have some 250 riders moving up.

Lupino is no longer competitive on the GP circuit but he’s known as one of the top bike developers for data retrieval in the GPs, they signed Jeremy to ride the full GPs and he’s also renown for his bike development/data retrieval qualities and he’s already stated his goal isn’t a Championship but a gradual upgrading of the machine throughout the season, Ducati knows what they are doing
