While listening to your favorite orchestral piece of music. try to visualize, all at once... The struggles each musician had learning to play their instrument. The struggles of all the musicians ancestors, that brought them into this world. The struggles of the people that cloth, feed and house those musicians It took all these people and all their struggles to bring all those musicians together to create the music you are now enjoying. It brings me chills, when I realize that the music was actually created by the works of all those people over all that time. The hardest part is trying to visualize this, “all at once”. This is how perfection is and was achieved, by the works and struggles of ALL. Struggle, is your sacrifice and contribution to the achievement of perfection. The God of perfection loves you for it. There are no mistakes.

In the late 90's my husband had an out of body experience after a liver transplant. He had severe pain and prayed for relief from the pain and Jesus took him out of his body to escape the pain! They sat and talked about pain, and the pain of the crucifixion. The next morning when I saw him in the hospital, he asked me to read the Bible to him. I randomly opened to Psalm 40! I started reading it and he said, "that happened to me last night!" That was God confirming what had happened to my husband was true! 🙏

MADE IT!!! Oh, wow did I 'make it'. I just sat here nodding my head up and down, as he said words that are simple but so very profound. "Out Town" by Thornton Wilder has always been one of my favorite plays---I've read it and seen it a few times. It is such a very strong feeling in me, now that I'm older, and I think of the days my parents called 'Bonus Days"---days when we were together and feeling the love for one another---like the moment I remember sitting with my Mom and Dad at sunset in the Florida Everglades--and we had had a beautiful day with Nature--and I remember thinking "THIS is a special loving moment that one day I will long for again." And, of course, I have! There were so many 'Bonus Days" in my life. And the special connection days that my twin Alice and I shared--we were so happy and 'in the moment;. Thank you, Sky, for bringing back memories and emotions that are always deep inside me. You were a beautiful--and gentle--guest to listen to. I shall try to learn more about your Institute. And thank you Heather for finding such a heartfelt thinker. (He is a natural teacher, the way he gives an example for everything he says! I love it!) And I will always remember his message! Thank you both, so very much with all my heart, Lynn (My 'Emoji' are not working---so no 'heart' or 'funny face' are showing up! LOL!)

Such a great parting thought! If only! Heather, I loved your comment to your husband about imagining looking back at 80 when the kids are long gone and all those problems that come up with rearing children are gone. Well I'm past 80 and that rings true. Remembering those days when the kids were still kids sometimes feels like those were different people. And I am now watching my "kids" dealing with their own children who are now adults. It really is like everybody playing a role of being a child, and then later an adult, and then a parent with small children, and then the parent of adults, etc. Our lives on earth with our identities becomes more like playing several roles, one after the other. And you have to decide which role is the real you.

I've never had an NDE (that I'm aware of); regardless, I find them fascinating. Several years ago, I participated in a project in which I was taught the method of Transcendental Meditation (TM). Indeed, during these sessions I actually experienced a state of "bliss." Today, what works best for me is the practice of contemplative prayer. The bliss I find during these sessions has a combination of love, fulfillment, peace, and so much more. This is when I feel closest to God. Honestly, I don't think the experience of an NDE would benefit me - I think coming back here would be difficult. As for meditation, Thomas Merton sums it up "Meditation is the idea of awakening our interior self and attuning ourselves inwardly to the Holy Spirit, so that we will be able to respond to His grace". Sky, again, thank you!

I loved the way that in a very pithy manor he homed in on something that really gets us right to cosmic consciousness; gratitude and being nonjudgemental. Beautifully said! I had a partial out of body many years ago after just reading Robert Munroe's Journeys Out of the Body. With the two simple principles above, and hemi-sync technology, I think you have a sure method to get you there. I find also with other auditory experiences you'll kind of get there as well. Believe it or not I was once meditating whilst listening to Metallica's And Justice for All album; in a shamanic rhythm driven sense it kind of did the trick. And wow! In fact wow squared! Or wow cubed! Just a little mathematician's joke there, but don't we all just have to read Thornton Wilder's Our Town now. What a way to end an inspiring 3 talks!

Made it through all three of these blessings. So much of this resonated with me from beginning to end. I too was a militant atheist for a good portion if my life. While I can't point to a single thing that changed all if that for me I can say that as I get older my mind seems to settle down and not be so belligerent. I began appreciating all of the good things in life and have learned to let the bad go because it is not worth wasting my time on. I have opened myself up to those around me and long to know how others are doing and how they are feeling. My empathy has gone through the roof. I absolutely love what Sky said about prejudice. That should really hit home with most people. I don't know that it can be said any better. I definitely enjoyed his parting words. That's a great lesson for all. I'll be checking out Monroe for sure.
