Ok, but the guy with the protruding jaw is justified. He's suffering from a condition called mandibular prognathism, a.k.a Habsburg jaw. It leads to complications in later life. The focus should be on his health, first and foremost.
@mcentepede Жыл бұрын
They try to justify plastic surgery by mentioning corrective surgery, which is not at all the same thing. The guy's condition justifies surgery. His health, both physical and emotional were at risk. An ordinary healthy citizen getting surgery to look like a K-Pop star is just plain silly. Especially if they were not ugly to begin with.

Which is why Korean surgeons have a sense of the aesthetic that won’t supersede their talents to fix things. You’ll never see a Korean surgeon carving up a woman like the cat woman or the alien like reptilian men in America. Korean surgeons put a huge emphasis on a natural and refined result. Body dysmorphia has no place in their offices. And that poor woman Han Mi-Ok wasn’t satisfied with her already great looks. She is a prime example of someone with body dysmorphia, always feeling inferior that she wasn’t beautiful enough, even though she was.

The plastic surgery procedure done by the plastic surgeon was successful but, it was her psychic make-up that was left out. I think the lesson would be to find out first the real reason why a person wants plastic surgery and, should firstly, be evaluated on his or her mental or psychological state. I never really liked the way I looked growing up. The mirror never lied. So I learned to accept myself. There is nothing more liberating than being able to do that. I also learned early in life that my brain is more powerful than my looks, so I tried to do many things that interested me like arts, music and writing. You don't have to be rich, good-looking and famous to be happy. You just have to accept who you are. When you can accept and like yourself, automatically, you do the same to others.

For me it is more like social issue maybe, is it because they are the same (I mean one race) ?! unlike my country Indonesia, here we have hundreds of hundreds ethnic group with distinctive appeareance, my country is really diverse... from western part to the eastern part (streched for about 5000 km). Of course there are always what we call ’beauty standard’ like other country do, but I think it is not like that extreme. We celebrate the differences here, different look, the natural beauty, everyone has it’s own beauty, everyone is unique. From my perspective as Indonesian, people tend to use make up product & applying make up technique to have the look they want. Some might do plastic surgery, some might also do the extreme cosmetic procedure but in general here we see plastic surgery as something uncommon. But of course it’s different when it’s something about medical issue or another crucial reason.

There is no measure or standard for beauty, even if you are top model or Miss World or popular celebrity, how pretty and perfect figure you've got, there is always a person or another party who just felt the opposite. In China or Korea or Japan, beauty standard will be fair skin, small lips, big double-lid eyes and extremely skinny, where in Brazil or America they would prefer tan smooth skin, thick and healthy looking body. In India most people will think fair skin and long voluminous hair, the beauty standard. So, learn to embrace yourself, have a kind heart with, wear your smile, there is always a person who loves you no matter how imperfect you are. The people who criticized will always criticize you even if you are perfect in their own terms. Take care of your health with good stuffs, do daily rountine and get that natural glow up😘

After that off the cuff comment, I was ready to exit but was forced to politely mingle with the company drones. The eye surgery I got in Beverly Hills was from a Korean plastic surgeon that does go back to Korea and does work there too. His work is on Instagram and he really does good work. I choose him based on his large Asian based clientele so I knew he wouldn't make me look weird and understands our eye shape. I had a severe under-bite but my parents chose to wait until I was 21 to correct that. So by 20 I was having an orthodontist move my teeth and then worked in conjunction with the oral surgeon to move my jaws. And then put in a mold for my chin and my entire mouth has bolts. So I was wired shut for 3 weeks and 1 additional week to teach my mouth that it can open. I have no problems with getting MRIs or going through TSA. My parents wanted the jaw done more because Canadian health was paying for it and in the end I'm glad my underbite isn't bad but wish they never put a chin implant.
