Excellent mic video! Cable management always important! The wireless system looks fantastic, but alas it will never catch on in the industry. I prefer phantom powering in I’m guessing that requires the AA battery to run it!

so when you switch mikes from bug to boom, there is a difference from straight voice centerd without the background noise, to voice with higher freq sounding and also background noise is much more obvious. How do you get rid of that difference in the post production, so that they both sound the same when you mix them into one consequential take? Any nice software to remedy that?

as a painter I can tell you that a fiberglass painter's pole will not break. It is designed to have a heavy load at the end and for a man to be pressing it into a wall all day long. You couldn't do that with a microphone pole.

Hello: Good video. Which receiver should I use with the sennheiser skp 100? I use a Shotgun mic with XLR cable in a camera that has XLR inputs and it would be interesting to use the shotgun mic wirelessly. The idea would be that the receiver was not too big to be able to worship it on camera. Which receiver would be the most suitable?

I got the eng kit on the way, but can't yet afford a sennheiser shotgun, so I'm using a rode xlr shotgun instead. I was hoping that it could pick up both the lav and the wireless XLR at the same time. And if that's the case, does it put them in separate channels when going into a Zoom audio recorder?

You are definitely a great teacher. My question is i do not own a senshizer mic and I'm sure part of my question has to do with my mic - which is a Movo Supercardioid. I just recently received it as a bundle purchase (Tascam DR-60DmkII 4-Channel Portable DSLR Audio Recorder with Movo Supercardioid Shotgun XLR Video Microphone) about a month ago and just unpackeaged it to start recording and after I have everything set up using phantom power. I'm hearing static is that something to do with the xlr cables or is it because i have something set to high? I'm attempting to troubleshoot the issue but cannot determine why. Is it simply because I need a $400 shotgun mic? I sure hope not. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I also plugged it into my Tascam DR 40 as well same result (still using phantom power) Thanks Andrew

hi there...I want to use a Sennheiser SKP 100 with my Rode NTG-2 mounted inside the Rode Blimp v2=-the one with the Rycote Lyre suspension but it seems to me that the SKP 100 makes the mic very heavy...maybe too heavy for the support?! Will this affect the sound. vibration etc...and will the Rode NTG-2 with the SKP100 still fit inside the Rode blimp? help pls- I could use an XLR cable of course but wireless would be more practical...HELP PlS! thanks
