I just put that exact system in my Granite Mega and… bam!!! Totally rips. I’ll need wheelie bars ASAP. It’s totally nuts.

I was thinking about the 4000kv combo for my Senton. One thing to think about, you have a 60amp connector on a 120amp ESC, you might be leaving some performance on the table.

I have the max 8 in my revo and boy! The best combo for the price you can get! It’s so quick on 6s (obviously 4s max for yours) But internally it’s the same as the castle motors but for less than half the price! I just bought a max 10 today Because of cogging issues on my sky rc!

I love the hobbywing systems they are great quality and like you say comparable to the more expensive castle systems. Has been years since i had a castle system i had an old mamba monster max in my e-revo! Think i will only ever use hobbywing from now on!
@DJSpannamanUK4 жыл бұрын
beyondRC for sure! If you tear down a hobbywing and a castle they are exactly the Same! Also razor ten systems are made in the same factory and are the same motors/esc’s but just don’t look as blingy on the outside! And are even cheaper still!

So i got a max10 sct esc 120amp using it with a 3300kv hobbywing motor and it cogs badly on startup 🤷♂️🤦♂️

I ordered a max10 SCT of modelsport without a pre soldered connector and it came with a xt-60 connector

I have just purchased the max 10sct for my granite mega 550 to get a little more punch out of it. What pinion would you recommend as brushed motor has a smaller shaft than the new max 10sct at 5mm. Apart from that everything is stock. But states that it is brushless ready already. Thanks 😊

Great vid So what did u change to go brushless then

What did you do with the gears. Different Axel size!

Would you mind telling me what pinion gear you used with this hobbywing motor on the Granite upgrade? Wondering if you were able to get a pinion gear for this upgrade that worked with the original motor mount setup.
@beyondRC4 жыл бұрын
So I have actually upgraded the spur and slipper clutch to the BLX version. So with the motor mount I do actually have a video on the channel I had to actually drill out the standard mount to let me mesh the gears properly. I now run the proper adjustable mount and it makes life a lot easier. Also the shaft on the motor is 5mm!
@bstevenorris4 жыл бұрын
I did as you did and drilled an extra hole in the motor mount to mesh the HobbyWing motor. ThIs is a great motor esc combo (same combo as in this video). This Arrma is a beast now. Thanks for the help. I’ll now order the BLX motor mount and upgrade some more.
@beyondRC4 жыл бұрын
Good to hear! The adjustable mount is worth it as you are not restricted when it comes to pinions. Glad my method worked
@DirtyRC1014 жыл бұрын
Got the exact same thing, but i would recommend switching out the stock servo as well, it´s just..ugh.

Hi mate I’m thinking about getting the 60 amp version as I’ll only be running 3s it’s for a corally moxoo do you think I should get the 120amp?
@beyondRC2 жыл бұрын
60a should be fine in the moxoo

Does it come with a 5mm pinion under the motor plastic packing? Some Hobbywing combos do (Axe crawling systems), so I was just wondering before I order one?
@beyondRC3 жыл бұрын
No pinion included with this combo but the motor is 5mm shaft 👍

i can easily reach speeds over 40mph it will depend a lot on what gearing you go for too!

for the 5mm motor shaft, what pinion gear did you use?
@beyondRC3 жыл бұрын
i think i used a 15t or 17t 0.8MOD/32dp Pinion for 5mm shaft doesnt have to be Arrma branded as long as its 32DP

@@beyondRC Yea man, not sure i understand the instructions to the fullest however. But i mean they are supposed to store energy to even out the spikes and it mentioned something about the unit running warm and you could risk destroying the capback that is on the ESC if you do not solder on the extra pair... Kinda gibberish to me but i guess i will solder them on just to be safe?
