Thanks for posting this! Imperial Settlers is one of my favorite games. I should play it more solo. Did you print out the campaign stuff to keep track?

For the video I just played the basic rules from the box, but I do have a campaign going! It is definitely keeping this game alive for me (and making me want to buy the faction expansions).

Hi, thanks for the video. It was really helpful. I couldn’t get my head around the written rules for the solo mode. Where can I find the details for the campaign?

Hi there, thanks for this playthrough, and the 51st State playthrough. I'm considering getting one of these games, or Empires of the North, and had a few questions after watching your playthroughs - You said you thought solo play is better in IS than 51S. Could you explain a bit more why this game is better for solo play? - Replayability: does IS/EoTN become a bit repetitive/samey after a couple of plays with each clan because you learn the decks for each and it kind of forced you down a particular strategy? One thing that appeals to me about 51S is the common deck as it could potentially add quite a bit of variability to each game. Did you find this to be the case? Which of the three games do you think would have the best replayability value for solo play using just the base game? - Could you give a bit more detail of how the IS solo campaign works eg is it that you play it once through with each clan and then you can't really play it again since you already know what happens? Thanks again for the videos, they are really well done.

I knew this and 51st State were similar, but I wasn't sure how. Now I do. It seems like you were enjoying yourself more in this than 51st State because of the stuff you were pulling off, but I actually found myself enjoying your playthrough of 51st State more. Seems like there was a lot of stuff going on in this and my brain was fizzling (it's also super late) and I wasn't learning along with you like I was in 51st State. Also, text and iconography seems really small, whereas in 51st State there were nice, chunky icons. I think I'm also super partial to the apocalyptic theme, so my bias might be showing. I did like how you were attacked twice in this with the worker and checking the stack for both. Not entirely sure I understood how that worked, but it was some real neat card interaction! I take it 51st state's solitaire is only the race for VP? This seems like the better deal with a similar solitaire PLUS campaign... but the theme... how's 51st state with its expansions? Have you played with them yet? I'd also be curious to watch you do a campaign of this.

I would say that Imperial Settlers is the better solo game, especially with the campaign-but I prefer the theme of 51st State. I haven't played any of the 51st State expansions, but the Imperial Settlers ones tend to include at least a card or two aimed at solo players!
