I'm glad that the UK finally has access to a standing desk frame with 4 legs! Unfortunately, I'm not in any position to replace my existing 2-legged standing desk, but if I end up changing it out in the future, I'll probably get the 4-legged frame.

I've built two standing desks using the VIVO Electric Dual Motor Standing Desk Frame (DESK-V122EB ). One for my work PC and one for my Gaming PC. The first desk I built is 6’ long and 25” wide and 1-½” thick. I used a live edge butcher block counter top as my desk top that I ordered from Lowes. My second desk I built was for personal use, so I didn’t need to go as big to accommodate three monitors so buying the same frame, I went with a 4’ long by 25” wide standard butcher block also from Lowes. I ran into the same issue when I built my VIVO desk with it not going low enough, measuring to the bottom of the top it's 28-1/2" so kind of a bummer, but I use an Ergofoam footrest with my BTOD Leap V2, so it works just fine for me. I'm a big fan of the VIVO frames even though the weight of the counter is too much for the collision detection, so I had to turn that off. Another great video from BTOD, keep it up guys! Also, not sure exactly why, but for whatever reason that Amia looked especially good paired with that desk.

I bought the two legged Flexispot with one motor (connected with a drive shaft to the second leg) an I can tell you it is definitively stable enough for normal office work. (and powerful, it can lift a person) I have A LOT of stuff on the desk and yes, when you push the desk front to back, it moves a bit. But guess what, normally this doesn't happen when you're working. It is perfectly adequate. So take my advise, just buy the much more cheaper two legged variant. I payed a shy over 200 euros for the frame and sourced my own top..

I was previously looking at the Steelcase Solo for three reasons. 1. Price. 2. It's apparently more stable than the Ology. 3. Because the more streamlined functionality and Steelcase quality components will mean better reliability. That said, should I continue with my purchase, or perhaps gives this option a look?

Do an E7L review. Just bought one on a big sale plus promo and from what I can find online it's pretty stable. 3 motors. I'm glad few pre-drilled holes because I upgraded to a larger 55x28 board to swap out one of their 48x30 boards. hopefully they'll just sell larger combos in the future.

Thank you for cutting through all of the marketing bullshit and actually helping me distinguish which of the standing desks out there meet basic requirements like stability at standing height. You saved me several hundred dollars and probably a few annoying returns, so thanks a bunch.

@@PreaceThePimp I decided to spend a few hundred extra and got the Uplift 4leg desk with the "commercial" cross brace. The plastic motor linkages in the flexispot bother me. It's the sort of thing that gets brittle after 8-10 years and then breaks. Textbook planned obsolescence for what should be a "buy it for life" product.

Great review, thanks. I do not understand why they bring out a desk with a minimum height of 26 inches. That leaves out most woman, to have a potential good fitting desk. I am 6 foot and would prefer 25.5 to be the lowest position, but am ok with 26 inches. For anyone smaller, wanting to type in an ergonomic position, you will want a lower height!

From what I know about (I’m in the market for a stand desk too) the E7 is the same as the E6, only the control panel is different. So if you look for a E6 review (there are plenty) it’s basically what you get with the E7
@marsimplodation

@@hitub3 I have the E7 myself and I really like it, but I'm in no means an expert, I also got a custom wooden top making it more of a premium feel I have a 2000x800x40 block of wood on top, making the desk feel and look veeery nice. Paid arround 390€ in total for the entire desk (Frame and top). I was just wondering what btod had to say about the E7 as it is in a higher price range than the amazon desks, while still being entry level and they never did a review afaik

why why WHY do these reviews not let us hear the table moving? I've only seen one review that featured the noise between the Flexispot E7 and Uplift V2 moving and there was a significant difference! The Flexispot sounded like a vacuum. That review was from a year ago so I was really curious to see if they'd fixed that or if the plus was quieter. This is a big deal for me because I have skittish cats. How did it sound to you guys?

I was super excited to see this review! Question: As someone who is 5’7, I’m guessing my best bet is going to still be the Uplift V2 Commercial due to the lower height adjustability. I want to remain ergonomic while seated WITHOUT a foot rest, so as someone who is 5’7, Uplift V2 Commercial’s 25.3” lower range will be better than Flexispot E7’s 27” low end. Am I correct? Would this be your recommendation for me? Thanks!

The Uplift V2 Commercial goes down to 22.6" which is more than low enough. The standard v2 goes to 25.3". Both are better than the E7 Plus -Greg

@@btodtv I was harsh, but I was irritated. You well know that you are suppose to mount them with the top on the floor and you assemble the legs on the transversal beam. So trying to prove your point (that might be valid on the overall product) with some disingenious B_Rolls is the type of strategies consumers are well aware of. We do grow thick skin after being exposed almost continually to dodgy marketing department and also sometimes by enginnering department with designs putting forward parts which will fail in well calculated time. Beforehand I do naturally trust people, but once I flag something, this trust is gone.
