I appreciate the review, but it's unfortunate that Deskhaus has their reviews managed by such an unprofessional individual. The review on the Magnus Pro XL was particularly disappointing; their attitude was so poor that I felt embarrassed for them. If I'll be honest, if we're talking about features and functionality. I like the Secretlabs, stability is nice and everything. But being able to crouch on the floor, or stand as tall as you want is extras that don't need so much consideration. If I can get integrated controls for the desktop, gladly, if I can get a great cable management ecosystem, even better. If I can get a PSU that's jammed into the leg of the table, that's a game changer. I want things like this with Deskhaus, but simply put, their desks look like they need more to them, which is why I'm not willing to spend as much for one. When I can spend as much as I did, getting a secretlabs

I have the expansion leaf but my room would be too cramped at the 9' length. I added heavy-duty casters so I can move the desk around. The desk is absolutely rock solid and sturdy. It has 4 heavy metal legs and horizontal support bars connecting two legs on each side. The desk is so heavy the instructions recommended that 4 people flip it over. I flipped in on my own but it was quite challenging. Shipping was amazing with everything properly padded and protected. The electrical operation is super smooth and I added a Bluetooth dongle so it can be controlled by an Android or iPhone. It all just works. If my room was larger I would have gotten the 9' x 5' (108" x 60") ping pong version. But my desk is big enough for back-to-back 48" OLED screens so I can sit on either side of the desk. The desk is freestanding. I want to do a review when everything is all set up because it is really something to see.

Hey! I don't think they offer custom tops, but you could always reach out to their customer service and see if they do it. The major point of this video was to just showcase that paying a premium for “well known” desk brands (aka those that spend lots of $ on ads) does not get you a better desk when it comes to stability for people above 5’8. Assuming they're still around in 20 years - that's a pretty beefy bet with a team of 4 but I'm here for it!

@@MOAB-UT while I too am a DIjunkY if you're spending serious cash on a product it should suit your needs out of the box. Not everything needs to be a project. I'm up to my ears in projects at home. II am very interested in purchasing it; however, I have some questions that are preventing me from buying it outright. **Question 1: Foot Size.** What size would you recommend, and why does it matter? **Question 2: Countertop.** What do you recommend or own, and what key features should I look for when choosing one? **Additional Notes:** What other key information should I know, and what expectations should I have?
@Ahnestly27 күн бұрын
Hey, for your foot size, def reach out to Deskhaus about what's appropriate. The standard should be fine unless you'r going with some mega ultra desk. For countertop, the biggest factor for me is going to be thickness. I have a 1" all wood desk top but it will bow because it's just not thick enough. The Desk Haus has a HUGE weight rating that you'll never touch, so any top will be fine. Additional Notes: Nothing really. Just be prepared to measure a bit if you go with your own table top (and an electric drill as well)

I don't know..... I am 6'4" and the Fully Javis is super solid with a massive 2m oak butcher block top.
@Ahnestly Жыл бұрын
So I think "super solid" means different things to different people. Some people reported wobble, others don't, but there is no defined metric for what is and isn't wobbly (some people might be OK with a little wobble in their monitors, some people are softer typers, some are outright slammers like me, some lean on their desk hard, some don't, etc). I think the biggest issue that I have is that the performance you're getting out of your Fully Jarvis, you could get out of a 2-legged Flexispot desk, which is half the price. These companies are jacking their prices up making you think you're getting better performance, but you're not. That's why I think the Apex Pro is the best - you're actually getting better performance for the increase in price. Meanwhile, there are 2 leg standing desks out there that cost more than the Apex Pro, and again, I think people are thinking they're going to get something more stable for that price bump. At the end of the day, if you're happy with your desk, then screw what I have to say! Enjoy it!

hey! I got mine from Desk Haus, but the beauty of it is that you can get whatever desk top you want and just screw it in from the bottom! Thank you for one of the best vids I've ever seen on standing desks. My desk wobbles, and I always assumed it's because my 70-year-old weak hands, with the help of my daughter, just didn't screw things together tight enough during assembly. I had no idea it was a common thing among all two-legged desks! On another note, I'm curious as to what monitor you are using as well as the stand (which appears to be two pieces, but hard to tell). I have a 34" and 27" monitor, and I've been wanting to go to something larger (ideally 48"), but every monitor I've looked at gets mixed reviews. So I'm curious if you're happy with yours, and if so, what it is exactly. Thanks again for a great vid! Karen 😊

@kennuimuffins2426 Жыл бұрын
Well it depends on how much use you'll get out of it. Expensive yes, absurd, no. Someone working from home and regularly adjusting the height would benefit more than someone who uses it for a few hours after work. Same deal with high end chairs. I have a second hand aeron but bought a leap v2 brand new because I know i'm going to get a lot of use out of them. I didn't want to spend time and money exploring cheaper options. Something not discussed or mentioned were the motors. Some people value them a lot more and i've heard linak brand motors are the ones to aim for. The market is flooded with cheap chinese motors that overheat, are noisy or slow. I would want to know more about the motors before dropping that kind of cash.

I built my own using the autonomous pro legs on a completely custom desktop made of a rare maple. I have 3, 27" monitors attached to it AND 2 full size PCs on it. My gaming machine AND a server, both in full/mid size towers (Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL and an older NZXT) I also have a work laptop, mouse, keyboard and a VR headset on it. I'm 6ft tall, I have to raise it pretty high when I'm standing for work. I don't really experience the kind of wobble you are showing, not anywhere close. It's sitting on a flat, hard floor. So maybe you're exaggerating the wobble or the top of my desk is better at dealing with the movement, but I've been using it now for a couple years and it's been rock solid, one of the best decisions I've made since going WFH. Respectfully, you are doing the physics wrong. Having more weight on the table will reduce the amount of force it takes to wobble it a given distance. It will simply require more force than when it's empty. However, once you do get it wobbling, then it will stay in motion longer (Newtons 3rd law) I have probably 200lbs on/clamped to my desk (320lb max) and it doesn't wobble because I won't exert enough pressure to make it move. Sure, the monitors move but they're on arms and they'd wobble on the deskhaus because that's how frequency and vibrations work. Things extended out on an arm will work now more. But the desk itself, it takes A LOT to move, therefore it is stable UNTIL it is pushed hard enough. Which, I have several kids and I tend to lean on it, still haven't had that issue. But having 2 legs per side will do what you show. From years of experience, you're exaggerating the results and you got the math/physics wrong about weight.

I noted that all the desks in the video are on carpeted floor, which I think many people have as their setup. This is why I did NOT include my standing desks at home in the various comparison shots - it would not be apples to apples. However, In terms of front to back wobble, my autonomous ergo pro still wobbles quite a bit at the higher heights. When you’re working, you may not experience a lot of wobble, but try taking your hand and pushing the front edge of your table top hard a few times. That’ll get the desk going. It may translate to slight shakes when working, but if leaning or you bump or something, means a bigger wobble. I went to Desk Haus’ warehouse, checked all the bolts/screws, and shook them myself and saw how much even high end standing desks from Herman miller, steelcase, autonomous, uplift, etc all wobble

What I noticed with my Fully Jarvis is that it has quite a lot of give when leaning into the desk, which especially bothers me when letting go. I think it's because it's a C frame compared to a T frame. Btw: Is that chair a Steelcase Karman in the video?
