Sean Baker’s movies have never had an intimacy co-ordinator cause he knows how to handle intimate scenes, if he didn’t actors from his previous works would’ve came out and tarnised his Oscar campaign but all of a sudden its raised up as an issue. even when you read his scripts you can see his already constructed how the scenes will play out his basically his own intimacy co-ordinator, I just saw Babygirl and they had one, and there was a vast difference i felt, as sean baker knows how to shoot intimacy better, and more authentic

I think you are confusing public domain with commerical licensing which reverts back to the original owner if not used after a given period of time. That Academy timeline is out of date. The nominations announcement was pushed back a week to Jan. 23, and the Oscar nominees luncheon was canceled due to the L.A. fires. The voting period wouldn't be affected but even if it is pushed back it just reinforces that it hasn't started yet.

The reason why many filmmakers don’t use wide angle lens close up as everyone is starting to see is that it distorts features that leads to an uncanny feeling and doesn’t put the subject in the best light. It’s a choice for surrealist films or horrors but a Superman movie? 🧐

The distortion can help give a fantastocal feel like you get in birdman and the revanant. It also enhances the inpact of what your watching. The bear scene in the revenant is more impactful because of the wide angle lense. If you want your actors to look pretty you shouldnt use it but it can create amazing shots if used well

@@PaballoKobe-xh9ve yeah for landscape, it's perfect. But like you guys said, to evoke emotion, you must be aiming for a tense/frightening scene in to fully explore the angle's potential. Not "let me make this guy look pretty"

The fact that any of these "controversies" are concidered "controveries" and they could the movies, shows everyone how far from ordinary people Hollywood have moved. I use to watch the Oscars with a tux on, but now I don't really care at all.

Like your pink color today. Aren’t Jerry Siegel’s grandsons in the new Superman film as Daily Planet extras? Seems like they’re on good terms with Gunn. They also gave him a copy of Action Comics. Maybe the Shuster estate should have some more auctions for Action Comics 1 to raise more money? Weird timing for lawsuit.
