Our heli pilot is very new so we in the sky-squad have yet to perfect our teamwork, but we own the skies most of the time in every game and help out our ground forces as much as we can =) I'm glad my videos have helped! Clan wars, that occasionally are on jet maps =P 8v8, 12v12 and 32v32 are played on maps with jets on them, that's why teams usually try to recruit at least one jet pilot. 4v4 and 5v5 are infantry only

PC yes. You don't have to hold Q to pop the menu, just quickly tap Q. Taptaptap, spotspotspot. Only hold for the menu if you want to change the command to something else, the default command for pressing Q is always spot.

First advice is to bind "pitch up" to a key on the keyboard, for example the Space button. You can not maintain a constant turn with just rolling your mouse over and over, it won't hold up in the long run. If you are pitching up by holding down a key, then keeping your speed between 300-318 will give you a very good constant turn (the tighter speed the more constant turn, but it is impossible to keep speed steady at 313 so the turn is never "perfect", don't expect that)

hey chris i just got into flying on BF3 pc and i used to play bf2 and i was pretty decent with the jets in that game but for some reason in BF3 i can't get the jets to keep making steady turns when i maintaining a constant speed. I have removed all the mouse acceleration from the game but that doesn't seem to have solved it, I have spent hours playing around with sensitivity and DPI and i can't get the jet to turn steadily got any advice?

i don't understand at 4:21 how did u get away from the missiles cause when i am locked on and a missile is coming and i use ECM jammer i get killed but i dont use PC i use xbox.

Ofcourse I can speak english. What you hear in this video is not a commentary, it is the in-game communications between my clanmates and me, and we are all Swedes so we converse in Swedish. I subtitled some "important" parts but I hope non-swedish speaking viewers can enjoy the video for what it is, anyway =)

Because in these league clan matches every player is extremely good, and especially the air game is a cat and mouse game. The enemy jet is around my level, and the enemy heli is extremely good. I can only engage the enemy jet if his helicopter is dead. First I wait and try to let my heli kill their heli, then I can engage the jet, while I defend my heli from their jet. As a jet pilot I cannot afford to underestimate their air team, if I charge in and get killed my team will lose all dominance =)

Every map has a certain limit, Gulf of Oman for example has a very low ceiling and Armored Kill maps have a very high. I do not know the exact figures for any of the maps, I know by feeling, I know for how long I can afterburn up into the sky before I have to start turning down. You will learn in time, and usually you don't need to go anywhere near the height ceiling to do a successful top attack on ground targets =)

keyboard binding just feels so unnatural, probably because i am not used to it, aiming in dogfights is awkward having to switch from keybinding to now sliding my mouse up and so i end up missing my shot. guess it just takes time to adjust to something new.

Different countermeasures for different occasions. ECM is my all-round favorite, because it hides you from the radar. I equip Flares in very stinger-heavy games, otherwise I always use ECM in dogfights, clan matches and public games

you rock dude! awesome flying.. i wish i was one tenth as good... I have a quick question.. why dont you bail from the jet when your almost shot down.. I noticed on some instances where you couldve bailed when you had the chance but didnt and gave your foe the kill.

it saves time by getting killed and spawning in the jet, since he's not specialized in ground infantry. In a normal competitive match, yes you would bail and kill on the ground, but it's probably different in a clan match. [that's what i think it's happening :P]

A disabled helicopter will have extinguisher in reserve if they are any decent in the air, or land and repair, so you should always finish them off. A disabled jet can still be very dangerous to you and your teams heli, if he decides to fight back until he dies, or he will rush back to his base to grab the second jet - best is to rush towards his base and take out the second jet before him, without letting him killing you, and then rush for the heli and kill it to help your helicopter.

AlfieWilRus That's why a match is played in 2 halves - after the tickets for either team reaches zero, you switch sides. In the end the ticket difference after both halves determines the winner. For a jet pilot a match like this can be really un-eventful, my role was mainly to stop the enemy jet from killing my ground units. I uploaded the more eventful half, the other half was just dogfighting for 30 minutes >.< Hope you understand

In public: 100%, in clan matches: 80-90% (depending on situation, sneak attacks, helicopters, stingers etc - most jet pilots are very good dogfighters in clan wars) - but when I practice dogfighting i search out better pilots so that I can improve, so in real dogfighting I win maybe 20% =P I hope to get closer and closer to the top though =)
