Nice job. As a seasoned pilot myself pretty funny how much there is still so much to be learned. Great tips. A few of my useful tips. Heli camouflage used for each map. Definitely helps to blend in. Especially on maps like flood zone (snow- solid white) Dawnbreaker ( Urban-Reed or splinter) zavod (misc - bright green one) etc. Helps I think. Also if you have a partner, having the pilot run support. Throw a ammo box on the wing. Have your partner do mechanic and RPG and they get unlimited RPGs because it reloads them.. You may need to replace the ammo box once in a while. A few others is when to switch to stealth upgrade, when to switch to belt feeder, and 25 mll canons. For example if I have another team that keeps locking on like crazy I'll switch to stealth. But if I have a crazy good pilot on the other team I'll pick the miniguns and belt feeder. However if the other team is also maybe getting abnormally high lucky shots with RPGs at me all switch to the 25 mm guns and stay a lot higher up in the air. Although I rarely do this because it's harder to go up against another pilot with 25 mm cannons in a dog fight but they are better for ground vehicles. I also find it easier to shoot out the pilots of the other heli using 25mm. Only if the pilot sucks and isn't the greatest.

Dice really went into the ultra casualization of helicopters in this game, no rotor collision and being able to instantly take off the ground into the air like a grasshopper lol. Am surprised they didn't give us "ghost mode" where you can pass through buildings and terrain for 10 seconds just to make it even easier :P

What are you talking about? Rotor collision would lead to imbalance with damage outputs as the rotors will be susceptible to everything especially free fire launchers, and taking off instantly is a bit of an exploit, but generally speaking doesn't affect gameplay whatsoever as the only times you should be taking off in a chopper is in a safe environment, like out of spawn. Also, none of the mechanics you mentioned are any different than previous battlefields back to Battlefield 2, so not sure what you mean by "this game".

Landing on the skids definitely does not work in 2042. I'm pretty sure the bottom of the little bird is made of glass in the new battlefield. I bet if you could melee the bottom of it you could destroy it in one hit

Basically, hug the ground duck and weave behind buildings go under bridges and obstacles if necessary the little bird is the most maneuverable vehicle in the game, I don’t find it necessary or fun to switch seats and do all that nonsense, just learn how to fly the best way you can be a 1 seat shitter and you’ll have more fun.

@@RezurrectJohn ngl it’s sort of an exploit. Does 90 damage, Goes through flares and ECM, hiding behind buildings doesn’t work since it goes straight up in the air and back down, PLDs will still laser designate you for like five second after you get behind cover, and PLDs don’t have a indicator light like a soflam does. The only way to play around it is pre-ECMing and killing the PLD team within 7 seconds or so. If there’s a distance gap to close, it’s pretty much impossible to play around it.
