The vast majority of men are attracted to women in their prime age range, which is objectively about 18 to 25. Generally because women in that age range are happier, more optimistic, less cynical. They are also more feminine, less masculine, less bossy and are far more biologically able to have children, if starting a family is important to the man, and less likely to have emotional baggage, or children from another man, and of course physically more attractive, with more time on their clock to remain that way.

7:13 I love how Lehmiller recognizes that people's personal histories play into their negative opinions on age gaps, and yet the only example of this he can think of is just "woman jealous." like, did it cross his mind for one minute that maybe some of us have _been_ the younger partner in an age gap relationship and have experienced the coercive dynamics that come with it firsthand? it's honestly kind of wild how quickly he's leaping to recategorize valid apprehension as jealousy and insecurity, and maybe I'm wrong, but the impulse seems to have a bit of a sexist lean to it as well.

It's very stoopiddddd when men call women jealous of other women who are dating men that they don't even find attractive. For real , I mean no woman wants Bill Bilcheck. Yet men are calling other women jealous for judging his 48 year age difference with his 24 year old gf. That's hysterical . I can guarantee you that 90% of women don't want him. And the 10% that are interested are just interested for his money.. yet men are calling women bitter over it. Nobody cares ..they just really want women to have low self esteem. And men love making other men jealous. That's why they show off these young girls like this. They have such a big ego , that they date girls younger than their own children.

Yes, they both play a part. Though, tbf. The girl is doing it cuz she lacks experience and is immature. Then they complain and tell girls not to do what they did, but those girls are also too immature to understand.

Even at 25 people are still immature and don’t have a full tool set. All 25 means is your brain has finished developing. Most people say they didn’t feel like an adult till their 30’s and that’s because you don’t mentally stop maturing until you’re in your 30’s. The average person has a kid in their late 20s to mid 30s. Halfway is 15 years of age of 30. There’s no reason for anyone to be with anyone 15 years older or younger than them. I never understood this need to interject oneself into someone else's relationship. They're the ones going through it and experiencing those feelings, not you. How can someone presume to tell another person that they're not actually in love with someone just because they're much younger than them? If this is really such a problem, raise the age of adulthood to 25 - and do it consistently for *all* matters. Or I guess continue with this judicial tribunal for approving other people's relationships.

I guess a controversial take is that I personally think anyone above 21 can date whoever they want. They are grown adults and can decide who they want to date, etc. I don’t think we should be infantilizing them as if they are 15 or 16 years old. Anything under 18 is a big no.
@saskiabaclanovaАй бұрын
Lol , thanks for confirming my point about the law being the only thing that stops them from dating under 18. If the law said 15 , most of these men would be very happy. There's men who love to look at 15 and even travel to other countries becoz 16 is legal. The law is the only things that stop these men and there's even men who aren't afraid to say it... 🫠 "the law , the law " oh will you all grow up already and see the truth for what it is. 21 is legally an adult, but mentally isn’t even close. You’re brain doesn’t stop developing till 25, and most people don’t mature till 30. Believe what you want but to think a 21 year old is peak maturity is laughable. Teens and early 20’s is prime for bad decision making. I’m assuming you’re around that age to think that cuz once you get to 30 you see that 20’s isn’t even close to being mature.

Your "controversial take" is that adults should be treated as adults. I know, crazy right??? You're totally right of course, but good luck finding anyone else here who will agree with you. In this day and age it's all about "protecting" grown women from themselves. Strangers on the Internet presume to know better about a woman's relationship than the woman herself because she's too young, immature, bad decisions, prefrontal cortex blah blah blah... of course they'll never go all the way and just say they want to raise the legal adult age to 25 or 30 or 45 or 70, which would actually be consistent with what they're saying, but it's just way easier to shame people on Internet comments sections than to actually try to solve what they think is the problem.
