BFS + CHATTERBAIT ❓Will It's Work ❓

I have a lot of questions in my mind will BFS and Chatterbait work. Because my mine concerns it's the hook set.
The gears that I'm using is.
Shimano aldebaran bfs
Shimano expride 6'3 light bfs rod
Lure is Zman micro Chatterbait black and white !!

After two years with Aldebaran XG. I find the gear ratio is too high for swimbait application. I have to slow way down. The slower the retrieve the more fish I catch.

I'm agree with that , that's way I get other setup for reaction bait, with slower gear ratio

@@BoyPFishing I’ve just ordered the bfs conquest 6:2 ratio for my 2016 Aldebaran bfs from Japan. I hope it fits. Also try Jackall I prop 75s spybait Ghost minnow or Wakasagi. It’s so underrated.

I’m confused. Why wouldn’t a rod rated for 1/8th oz lures not be able to throw a 1/8 oz chatterbait?

That chatterbait said 1/8, but just the jig head and overall lure around 1/4, adding trailer make even more, you just not getting good hook set with that rod

What brand and what size length rod do you use for BFS?

Most of my setup bfs for bass light action to medium light,, depending what im throwing, single hook I will go with medium light, treble hook I'll use light action,

Brand of my rod are Shimano expired bfs 662l, shimano zodias 610 ML and I have bunch of daiwa blazon from 642L ,668L, 662ML, and daiwa bass X 662ML
