Nice Combos. I am absolute blown away ! A quesdtion as you seem to have a high experience on BFS Baitcasting. I am currently fishing the Shimano Zodias 1610ML-2 7-21G with a Shimano Aldeberan 51 MGL. Mostly Drop-Shotting or some Jig Spinner are used with it. I noticed that if i use some 7-10gr lures the rod seems to be too stiff. So i am looking for a new combo for some 4gram jig spinners. Which rod and reel would you recommend ?

Thank you , If overall lure is 4 gram, I'll go with light action rod, if we talking about 1/8 spinnerbait its not true 1/8oz, they'll weight about 1/4oz or 7gram in total , if that the case i will go with medium light action rod to get better hook set , For the reel I'll go with shimano slx bfs or curado bfs, because they have lower gear ratio. Most expensive bfs reel has high gear ratio The line i use depends the rod, light acton rod, 6 gram or below lure i will use 8lb braided line with leader, ML action rod ill go with 10lb braided line

Hey sorry for posting on an old video. How low can you throw on the blazon 6’8 model? I plan on casting crappie jigs as the lowest so about 2.3g.

The lowest i was throw is 5 gram, this rod lilbit stiff, like fast action rod

I find my Aldebaran 8:1 gear ratio for swimbait(Megabass Okashira) is way too fast. I know I left a lot of fish behind. So, I downgraded to 6:2 conquest bfs gear. Anyways Thanks for sharing.

Where did you order your rods from? I have an aldebaran coming in and debating on the Dobyns ultra finesse or blazon Also do you think the blazon is my sensitive than the expride and zodias ?

I get my blazon from ebay store call asian portal, they both are sensitive rod, expride has better quality than blazon

yo i'm trying to get into bfs for big brown trout and steelhead, i use a lot of small rapalas with barbless hooks so i need a hard bait setup, i really like the Daiwa tws reels any recommendations?

I think for reel I'll go with daiwa alpha sv tv 800 to get more line capacity and can cast light lure, but not super light lure
