I see from the link further down this video was flipped in post-production, so he's not really writing backwards. But what is really impressive is that the DevCentral logo on his shirt appears the correct way around, so he must be wearing a shirt with a back to front logo... nice touch.

Great video! But I think there's a mistake at 5:45? IMHO AS2 doesn't have a direct path to AS2 nor does AS2 split out at all ... Right?
@JasonRahm Жыл бұрын
yeah, good catch, no direct path from AS2 -> AS3 (as drawn), that has to bounce through AS1, which I do mention 20 seconds or so later. I added a correction that will pop-up at that timecode.

@devcentral6 жыл бұрын
I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time, so writing backwards is not in my skill set! We flip the video in post-prod. For a full look behind the curtain, including build details, check out our article on DevCentral: devcentral.f5.com/articles/lightboard-lessons-behind-the-scenes

@@devcentral Great video, Jason! I too was curious about the display, and at first I thought, "oh, they must just flip the video in post-processing," but then I realized that the DevCentral logo on your shirt would be backwards and thought that couldn't be right. I turned to the comments, and watched the behind the scenes video to confirm that the logo-less shirt flipped right along with the display. Am I wrong, or is that a reverse logo on your shirt? Seems like the only reasonable explanation.

Allen Taylor it is a path vector protocol because you get the AS path as a decision rather than the actual hop distance.

So private IP addresses are definitely reputable but I guess ISP's filter those addresses on there edge routers
@devcentral5 жыл бұрын
Yes, ISPs should definitely filter private IPs out from public route table propagation. A caveat to that might be for tunneling protocols with customer-to-customer "extranet" solutions, in which case all parties are in agreement and there are filter protections from leaking that into the wild.

That CIDR block is 125.4.0.0/20, not 125.4.6.0/24. The latter wouldn't be a legal network, but would be a legal address.
