I swear, fishing is one of the most peaceful things ever. Just thinking about this kind of scenery jerks my tears, and to be able to do this would cross a major check off my bucket list.

Ben, your trip brings back memories of a magical evening on Crab Lake many years. We went out about 6-ish as the sun got low on the horizon, the wind died down and the lake shown like a mirror. Perfect topwater time. On just about every cast we were catching smallmouth. I guess I am showing my age when I say I was fishing a Jitterbug and Bass-oreno, but they sure did the trick that night. From what I can remember, most were in the 15-16" range with a couple pushing 18" so I can't complain. Thanks for bringing back the memories. If you don't mind sharing, what lake were you on?

The spook nicely imitates a fleeing bait fish. I would use a sturdy leader with it, they are pike magnets! I miss the bwca, i used to go every year...

If you don’t mind sharing what lake and entry point. Been up to the Boundary waters a couple time already but fishing was slow. Thanks for sharing.

If you don't mind what lake, or ep. With kayaks how do you get your camping gear in?. It seems it would difficult to bring more than 2-3 days of gear or more than 1-2 portages.. Great video. Thanks.

what entry point did you use, I've fished the upper and lower Kiwishiwi river a few times, just looking for some advice on a different area, we're coming from Ohio in September.

Try a Rebel teeny pop r. And work it s l o w l y. Also. Dont crank your real with no line coming in. It twists your line. When my brother and I head up there . 95% of our fishing is topwater. My advice. Dont miss a minute of daylight morning and evening. Low light calm water. During the day fish the shadows as much as possible. When were you there. I didn't see any spawning nests

Yea it’s weird.... on my cell and on my headphones I edit with it sounds perfect. Then I turn on my TV and it sounds really weird.... learning on the fly is hard sometimes.... I tell ya. Thanks for the constructive feedback. This body of water has a max depth of about 35 ft. I was targeting shallow flats for almost of the day! Was fun to sight fish them! Thanks for your constructive feedback and for checking out my channel!!
