I remember seeing that first video of him singing his version of Hallelujah at the wedding he was officiating. It was SO special! This performance tugs at the heartstrings. My love and prayers go out to your friends Louise and Carol in their time of struggle ,as well as to anyone else who wonders if this is all worth it. I have wrestled with that depth of pain also and my heart aches for my fellow travelers in this world,which can be cruel(as well as breathtakingly beautiful). This seriously hits hard. When REM came out with it, I fell in Love with the lyrics and song. This just could not have come at a better time with all the people I know and Love dealing with cancer and life issues. Made me tear up!!!! His voice has a very spiritual/soul-filled quality.
