Bhaktapur literally means City of Devotees.The old and historic town of Bhaktapur is designed in such a way that every step and every corner reminds one with the presence of divine ( god or something else you understand you as divine). There are temples everywhere, small big and every thing is designed as place of worship, every eateries, every spout, every resthouse, ... you can't just seem to miss it. The best way to be in bhaktapur is to observe these thingsand be aware of your consiousness. the whole town is like one huge temple. Its spiritual point of view. You can also get into details of art, architecture, local newari cuisine, wander around getting lost and found in alleys and gullis and spend cool fresh evenings around temples,squares and many many ponds... one day is not enough.
@sumitztube4 жыл бұрын
Also don't miss the evening bhajans ( musical chants) around temples during evening. The place is really divine work of art.

I have to say, I LOVE this video. You know I love all of your videos, Christine, but this place is so cool. Also, love the humor, the music...this makes me really want to go to this place. Such a beautiful place with so many cool temples. It looks like a slower paced city, I definitely am going to try to make it here!

Thank you, Christine, for all the sharing of your own adventures. I recently returned from a solo journey to India, and it was my first time in India, and it was a very powerful, beautiful experience. I had watched a number of your videos, which I landed on as part of my Googling/KZbin/"research," and they became a nice part of my prep for the trip. I even bought one of the wrist wallets (Sprigs?), which worked out really well. At any rate, thanks for sharing your whole approach to travel and traveling solo. Your vibe and attitude about it all was something I carried with me in a sense during my own solo adventure.
