Thank you Prabhuji. Thank you for nicely explaining the characteristics of a sthita-prajna.The external senses and sense objects that come in contact with each other genearating variety of material desires should be rejected. One should seek pleasure within self.

A sthita prajna turns inward to look for happiness. This internal happiness doesn't refer to fulfilling the mind's desires but connecting with the spiritual happiness of the soul. Withdrawing the senses from the sense objects is the beginning but we also need to give positive Krishna conscious engagement to the senses to be able to stay steady and stable in devotional service. Thank you. Hare Krishna.

Hare Krishna charachteristics of shitha prajnya explained, to give up all desire for sense gratification and find pleasure in the self. just as a tortoise draws its limbs inwards we have to withdraw our senses from sense objects. Krishna tells to minimize exposure but He also tells to get a higher taste so that the lower cravings can easily be given up. thank you.

2 characteristics of a sthita prajna - to give up all lust completely and be satisfied within by turning the mind inwards. Deity worship, sravanam, kirtanam are external pleasures that take us towards inward pleasures.

A asking Q based on his level of thinking. A is a pure devotee but now under yogmaya. So he thinks, what kind of person is this? Will he fight or not? Normally in an audience ppl listen only 20% - which 20% only God knows. So K has spoken a lot, but repeatedly tells A to fight up to verse 38. After that K speaks mostly about transcendence. In 49 He speaks about keeping away abominable actions, A thinks killing relatives as abominable. For last 15 verses K has not spoken abt fighting, so A asks the question.

Yogi ceases all engagements of sense enjoyment because he has already experienced a higher taste and also he is not ready to loose the sense control at any cost because he is aware that taste for sense enjoyment always remains.
